Worst phone I have ever owned. Locks up constantly, Apps quit working constantly, and not user friendly. Have to always back all the way out to home screen to even close a App. On-board Key Board is way too small and freezes when trying to go from letters to numbers. Key-Board does not allow a word to be typed in all Caps. Tired of shutting down and restarting the phone after it being on for 2 hours or less. Getting rid of it ASAP.

I have the retail version myself and swear on my moms grave that its been smooth sailing for almost a year now i think. Like played genshin impact everyday smooth and app switching just fine
Perhaps lifeline put some bloat or hidden spyware on those models...
I can make a video of my g300. Showed what I disabled and launcher I used. Been using kvaesito launcher for a while which is way smoother than stock and more powerful

Which is saying a lot and I got this phone for free sucking off the tax payer nipple as it's a lifeline phone so thanks Nokia for annoying the hell out of everyone and contributing to massive drug use in order to get over being violated by creepy uncle Nokia

Doesn't solve all problems (e.g., glitches, hanging, slow response times), but does make noticeable differences in interactions, and generally, vastly improves UI performance/experience/speed. Download a few free icon packs through Nova Launcher to customize UI appearance to your liking without bogging the OS/processor down.
Install GBoard (Google keyboard) and customize to shortcut certain tasks straight from keyboard.
Also, insert a 32gb+ micro SD card and save downloads, pics, user files, etc. to it.

This phone is crap. Do not waste your money. Poorly designed and implemented. Within the first 2 months: ringtone turns itself down repeatedly, Google assistant has been disabled more than twice and won't go away, swiping the screen is a nightmare and now the screen is fritzing out. And those are just the highlights. Give your money to your church or a homeless person then buy a different phone. Worthless.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2022The Nokia G300 I got from Tracfone as an upgrade (to be abl... moreI have owned my Nokia G300 for about 3 hours, and I am barely concerned about all the bad reviews as most issues people have with their mobile devices is in most cases, a users total lack of knowledge concerning the vast and sometimes overwhelming number of options available, many of wich can instantly alter any phones functionality. For example there's always a animate windows option on Android. I will immediately find this seeing on any new phone I get and switch it to no animation. Just this one seemingly irrelevant setting can oftentimes increase a phones response speeds and even the apps seem to load faster. Because phones are so complex and configurable it is really no surprise that we see so many negative reviews not only of this product but many Mobile phones are endlessly bashed in review forums. My advice read all available material on each and every product you buy, pay attention to wich products work for you and wich ones don't, sometimes it's a matter of incompatibility between a person and a mobile phone. I will hope for the best and plan for the worst. My last Nokia was literally the first available commercial cell phone Nokia ever made.

Ron.Mathews, 16 May 2023This phone is the biggest piece of garbage that I've e... morewell what you need to do was go into the phones setting and change the viration control settings by default they are set a a low number like 3 so just raise that to about 8 and the bluetooth won't quit on you I ride a bike and in new jersey we have many pot holds and dirt road never does the bluetooth cut off, the phone works great had a nokia back in the early 80's and alway liked the LG phones but they jumped ship from the cellphone markets so took a chance on the Nokia and I'm very satisfied plus the 5G network is everywhere here up north

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2023Removed most google services and restricted data/battery on... morewhen you removed some of those apps did you loose the incoming call screener? when I firstt got mine (tracfone prepaid) i had that feature ,but then I installed a vast anivirus and it disappeared from the phone feature so I uninstalled that antivirus crap and still no call screener

Removed most google services and restricted data/battery on everything i could and the phone is now lightening fast. Theres a ton of boatware in google products and some permissions that cant be changed allow complete device control, to a scary degree, but without it my phone lasts 2 -3 days on a charge and is fast and reliable

All phones do that from time to time it's just that some phones have a faster refresh rate and they're able to do it without you knowing it with the exception of the power button of course that's why most phones now if you drag down from the top and they'll have a power button up there as well. I hope this has been enlightening and thank you for your honest truth about this phone because I was actually kind of considering it

This is one of the worst phones I've ever had. It freezes up and glitches very often. Maybe I just have a bad one, I don't know. But I literally had to call 911 for someone when I was at work, and this damn phone took 5 minutes to function correctly so I could actually open the phone app and use to key pad to make an emergency call. I had to use a landline phone to finish the call that night because I couldn't rely on this POS. Nokia can do way better than this. Spending almost $300 on this phone back when it first came out was a huge mistake.

This phone is the biggest piece of garbage that I've ever owned....Apps will randomly quit working. The power button will randomly stop working, it loses its blutooth connection to my devices as well as the WiFi connection has a mind of its own.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this POS!!!!!
