By Jack, 20 Feb 2023This is the most frustrating backwards phone I have ever ow... moreI got this phone free from tracfone. It worked pretty good for a year. Then I activated the "1Weather" app, and all hell broke loose. It came preloaded so it cannot be uninstalled. Why!? So I tried to turn the app off. Things got worst. Can I reset this phone without loosing my contacts, pictures, call history and e-mails?

    This is the most frustrating backwards phone I have ever owned. I wish I had done my research. It will blink out, switch screens, freeze up, at least 10 times daily.

      First time buying a Nokia. Looked great on paper as I usually go with Samsung. And I agree. It is laggy.. Sometimes I just give up, frozen screen, lock ups. No keyboard. Clunky operation. Never again. Back to Samsung I go. I think FREE is a good price to pay for this.

        Got this for free as a back up to my iphone.Was real laggy at first.I soon realized it was because I downloaded nova launcher.Alot snappier now.Im used to flagships so I feel the difference but for the fact I got it free I can't complain.

              A lot of people dogging this phone but... Update your shizzle and remove or disable your providers bloatware and you will have a great deal on an inexpensive phone that has 4gigs of ram, decent processor and 5g speed. Ya can't beat this for under 100 bucks. (Under $80 on ebay)

                Worst phone I have ever owned. Owned it for less than a week and it lags, horribly. Crashes and reboots itself at least 4 times a day. Lags, hangs and crashes when using simple apps like the internet browser or SMS messaging.
                Picture quality is absolutely horrendous. Touch screen calibration is hilariously bad.
                I have nothing positive to say about it... When I find a compatible Blu phone with 5g, I'll be trying to switch ASAP. Despite the same budget price point, Blu is infinitely better.

                  This G300 Nokia phone is a horrible phone, no joke. I was told my phone was to old since at 6 yrs old and that straight talk was purchased by Verizon and the will only have 5G phones so i could get a free new phone. Well, I took the so called free phone and it has been a nightmare. A brand new phone that lags when you open apps, it hangs if you multi use text and email and chrome at the same time to forward a item. It delays or hangs when you open it at times, when it rings you cannot even see who is calling lest long answer many times. It is plainly a piece of garbage. My phone was 5 years old but it did work and not like this mess. I will def just buy me a new phone.

                      Literally the WORST phone ever. My boyfriend has asked to bust it with a hammer when I get a new phone. I told him yes. I'll be on the phone, and even though I lock the screen, it will unlock on its own, and either mute me, or put the other person on hold. Sometimes, it won't even do that, and I have to put them on hold, u hold them just so they can hear me. It also has days where it decides not to let me receive any texts. REALLY PROFESSIONAL. I use my phone for work, and wound up having clients late for an apt. Because of this. It is so slow. SO FREAKING SLOW. It put MY phone number in under MOM, and I called my number for a month straight thinking it was my mother, wondering why it kept sending me to VM. I accused my mom of blocking my number. It freezes up worse than the 90s computers. This phone isn't even worth being called a paperweight. It deserves to be shredded and stuck up the ass of the idiot who made it.

                        Updated to Android 11's September 5 update. There were like 5 or 6 back-to-back system updates when I first booted up the phone.

                        I haven't had any of these issues most people have here so far. (knocks on wood) I recently got the phone on sale for $85 with 1 year service included from QVC

                        Phone is extremely snappy and smooth. Plays graphically demanding games like genshin impact just fine. All my calls and texts go through. Nothing freezes so far, I leave apps in the background just fine. Really feels like I got a different phone compared to the user reviews here haha.

                        The only problems I've had are that custom launcher do NOT work well with this phone. Niagara launcher breaks gestures for some reason. Which sucks, because Niagara Launcher is great for one handed use on large phones.

                        There's quite a bit of bloatware post-install from "mobile services" app. Just disable mobile services. That service may also be the cause of issues for people.

                        The glass screen scratches extremely easily. My phone is less than 3 weeks old and it already has quite a few light scratches. IDK why nokia didn't use gorilla glass.....

                        NEEDs a screen protector.

                        Rear camera protrudes out way too much and will get scratched or damaged easily unfortunately as well.

                        And too much plastic bezel on this phone, makes it larger than other 6.5 inch phones.

                        Also "White Balance" needs to be adjusted in display settings to be 1 or 2 levels warmer. Default is a bit too blue and cold.

                        The IPS display already looks pretty bad unfortunately as well, pretty washed out colors compared to my old LG K31

                        4GB ram, Snapdragon 480+ and Adreno 619 should be more than enough for normal usage and light~medium gaming.

                          If you have any problems with this phone, just request Nokia to fix those problems whenever possible instead of bashing their products here. Brands don't respond to GSMArena comments, right?

                                This is the worst phone I have ever had to deal with. This thing may as well be a brick! All apps, including the UI stops working every time you try and use the device. And don't accidentally leave an app open and let the display go to sleep since a hard restart will be the only way to use the phone again.
                                Save your money and spend an extra hundred bucks for a better phone. The old $20 Alcatel phones were better than this thing. I actually still have one that is faster than this Nokia G300. If this is what Nokia has to offer I will avoid all their products!

                                  I do not like this phone at all. It is hard to wse. It keeps losing the contracts I use every day.

                                        The most unresponsive, ignorant, lagging piece of technology I have ever laid hands on. After unlocking expect to wait before you can get it to do anything... Same gesture 10 times to get 9 different results and the one you were trying to do will not happen... I would like to crush this pos into a million pieces,burn the pieces, crush them again and toss them into a river, at least then the crap would be worth something to the earth and not a useless piece of technology that aggravates the life out of you.
