Very laggy, laggiest phone I've ever had to the point of being unusable.

Durablity wise is amazing, solid as a rock. But I would pass on this phone, might as well be a paper weight with how unusable and slow it is.

It switches on and off repeatedly (It will switch off before I can see the nokia logo) by unknown reason. How can I solve this problem?

I wanted to not just like, but love this phone. A metal chassis in an era of cheap plastic chassis phones? Wonderful. A reputation for simply working as intended in an era where such products seem to fail to do so? Exemplary! Perhaps not fancy as some phones are, but gets the job done well enough? My kind of device, I don't need fancy, just something that functions as intended. Happy was I. Until it suddenly it ceased to send photos, but could receive them. Going online and carefully following the guidelines for correcting this did nothing. So off I went to my unlimited data provider. In short order, they corrected the issue. It worked for a day. Next day, the not sending of photos behavior returned. Soft reset did nothing. And after that I backed all my contacts to my computer, then did a hard reset. That didn't work either. Now, Nokia support may or may not have been playing games with me. What I do know is whenever I asked a question about this, they replied with a detailed response that had NOTHING to do with what I asked. OK, I thought maybe my bad, I rephrase the question in simple short sentences. Same thing, a different detailed response that didn't have a thing to do with what I asked. So in my opinion, steer clear of the Nokia G50. The phone has so much promise, and the photo matter was the only problem I had with the device itself. However, customer services killed any and all loyalty I had for the phone.

It seems that the X20 is smoother and thus better optimized. Not that the G50 is sluggish but indeed it feels that thad less fluent compared to it's bigger brother. Still a decent phone and battery is getting better by the day.

price for performance is not good on nokia mid range smartphones however there budget smartphones are good valve for money

Nokia got a bad strategy in late 2022 thinking too focus on android updates and rugged smartphones but thinking performance don't matter

Mightly nokia is going too get a rude wake up call about performance the thing is performance will make or break a smartphone
The thing is nokia making really good smartphones with really nice software and keeping them up to date the nokia smartphones also don't overheat unlike most other brands when gaming it will be really sad if there getting let down by performance

All nokia has to do is have better performance and they be the best brand in the would its the only thing there smartphones are lacking in

It's a generic Chinese phone, the Reame 30 was I'm sad to say, faster, connectivity easy, Bluetooth on this won't find my mercedes, WiFi isn't as powerful as realme neither. Won't get another

LAW321, 24 May 2022Though it has the same processor as that of Nokia X20 the o... moreI have used the G50 for a few days now and what I can say is that the autonomy is better on the G50 versus the X20 but of course that one has a smaller battery. In terms of user experience it's on par with the X20 of which I had no complaints whatsoever. In terms of facts and figures you might be right but in subjective user experience (what actually counts for the majority of smartphone users) it's perfectly fine. I don't miss the lack of higher refresh rates either. It's good enough. If I'm not mistaking that is also what Nokia tries to offre. A device that does the job with sufficient efficiency and a decent subjective user experience which works for me. Sure, there are many other devices, even cheaper ones, who do better, at least on paper and sometimes also in real life but often lack in other departments (like maybe the software support - aka Motorola). The Motorola's like the G31, 41, 51, 71... are certainly superior on many levels but their software support is total rubbish. Xiaomi devices, at least the budget and lower midrange ones, are great but mainly do kind of well in supporting their own software but not in terms of Android software. There it's limited to quarterly updates...maybe...and if you're lucky a major one. They used to do better in the past but ok, the MIUI is also heavily skinned version of Android that they can easily push updates of that UI instead of following the Android ones.
Well, in short, I like the Nokia devices but I fully get it that many don't. Nokia still has a very long road ahead of they want to get back to where they were in the 90's and 00's...

Battery life is better but when it comes to performance Nokia X series surpasses that of Nokia G50.

Well, just ordered one. Should arrive by the end of the week. Can't wait to see how well the 480 cpu is going to perform in this device. I had the X20 with the same hardware and it was pretty decent. I nice and smooth user experience without superlatives but that's fine, a great battery life and above all the promessed software support. Always got the security patches on time (at the beginning of the month following to the patch release) and got the Andoid 12 OS upgrade pretty fast. I'm expecting the performance to be slightly better with a slightly better battery performance given the fact that the screen of the G50 is only 720p which, in theory, recuires les power and calculating power than on the X20. We'll see.

I used different brands in the past 3-4 years which all were Chinese brands, and they weren't all that bad but just not the absolute quality you get with Nokia phones. Also software wise it's so much better. I recommended my relatives a Nokia too but only a couple or stubborn and keep on to their iPhones.
