With rethinkdns you can also block apps from accessing the internet, and block ads, you need a bit of dns knowledge tough, but is not rocket science tough, so you should be able to come clear with all it's functions.
You're welcome. Glad to help.

Currently there's nothing suspicious on my phone, regardless I think I will be happier with a proper brand like nokia, just for piece of mind.

Anonymous, 01 Jun 2023Genuine question.
What do the chinese do with your data t... moreI could answer you with just a small part of it that should already ring some alarm bells. EU has strong privacy regulations that need to be respected, EU holds for democracy and human rights. China on the other side, does not have any of these, and not only that, a totalitair ruling system feeds on users data to manipulate or persecute it's population. In EU case to spy and analyse users behaviour and type, society integration, location, wealth and secrets. You might think, well i do not care, as most ignorants here do, but when something happens, you WILL care, but would be to late.
This is just the small part of it. There are many other concerns. So yeah, the best location is in EU or even better Switzerland.

At least for x30.

Still I think I will give it another try and I thank you for your replies. 👍

Could it be that there is a connection problem, antenna covered by hand or something in those lines? Just a hunch of mine.
But if you say that others with lower specs work fine, this one should too. Keep in mind tough that nokias get better in time, that also means that bugs get fixed in time. And truth be told, they are slower to release updates/bug fixes then they were at the beginning, i would say that now patience is something to pack in, when buying nokias. They get better but on the slow pase.

I understand that the phone isn't the most powerful, however the processor and gpu etc are a lot more powerful than my original phone it replaced, ( that ran the games fine), also the current phone I'm using scored lower on benchmarks than the nokia and it also plays the same games fine, that's why I assumed it was software related.
Personally my favourite phones have been Nokia, HTC and Sony but since htc died (sort of) and sony went Oled, Nokia are my only saving grace (unless I go Chinese) , that are still making decent lcd phones.
There's only one way for me to find out if android 13 made a difference and that's for me to buy another one back.
Thank you for your reply though it is appreciated.

Anonymous, 29 May 2023I don't have the phone anymore but was thinking about ... moreIf you want to play games, you are probably better with asus or phones in that range. Not that nokia's can't play games, but they are not made for that. They are mostly for the everyday tasks. Android 13 made everything smoother and faster, but if you have stutter when playing games, they are most probably heavy games, so in that situation, the stutter problem is mostly because of the GPU which has reached it's limits. Don't get me wrong, i am glad when people chose Nokia over others, but not when people chose them with the wrong mindset and then bashing the Brand. So, if you want to play heavy games, pick something more expensive. If you use your device for everything social media, music, photos, calling and other stuff, it is good, stable and fast device. If you want a camera phone, look at x30 or other devices, this one is ok, but nothing to brag about.

MakeNokiaGreatAgain, 22 May 2023What stuttering?Sorry for the late reply, I have already asked about the stuttering/pausing in games and apparently a lot of people have experience the same, so I was hoping android 13 had fixed it.
The nokias hardware is more powerful than my previous (and current) phone, so it should run those games fine. (my time in portia was one, and practically unplayable as it paused every 5 seconds)

Carol, 20 May 2023Again, they studied on rats with way higher frequency value... moreKeep in mind - they are not able to recreate those types of studies & experiments on humans for obvious ethical reasons.
Regarding sun exposure, yes you're right, and the majority of national health services, worldwide, consistently advise on minimizing direct sun exposure for long periods, and to wear sunscreen. These are precautionary methods that act as guidelines to minimize risk. (The difference being - that sun exposure/UV radiation has irrevocably been linked to cancer).
Close range (in-ear) wireless device research on long term safety is currently inconclusive, & due to the weaknesses in past scientific studies, precautionary measures should also be considered by users (such as using wired headphones/headphone jacks/SAR compliance/limits etc) - until their safety is firmly established.
Until then, personally, I'm proceeding with caution for myself and members of my family - and I keep a close eye on all the ongoing & recently published studies. 😁
