I guess a software update will solve your problem with notification bar. If it doesn't, change your country and try re installing. Because software is released on country basis. Even that doesn't work, register as a developer, install the "preview for developers" app and try update again.

This phone is very well priced at the moment and it runs smooth even on the older hardware. Windows 10 will come to this phone soon, so reasons enough to purchase a Nokia Lumia 1020.

this device will not come to market and maybe will never come don't wait for it because there is a lot of argue in the companies they are all playing on people they can do whatever the users wont but u cant find all the specs in one phone they should divide the specs on the companies like Samsung htc Nokia iPhone and so ....
what i mean is that Microsoft can do whatever we wont for ex: a good cam and provide it with both dual led and xenon flash and infrared vision also if u want but it cant make another good specs in the phone because its an agreement between the companies
everybody is saying something new about this phone a new options "finger print or water proof and 3d display and dock station and infrared night vision and bla bla bla " if all this specifications and options will be in his phone the owner's of iPhone will buy the 1030

My name is ketelbinkie and i can only say to people to buy this phone it is simply awesome. i have this phone since 5 months i used it much to take pics during summer and oh yeah dont need a pocket camera no more. Cause it is a great camera. And it isba great smart phone.
have updated to 8.1 update 2 no problems it seems the quality of the camera is stable.
battery is good and without camera use often it is excellent. Touch is excellent screen is excellent and building quality is excellent. No complaints just enjoying the 1020 the best camera in a phone availabble at the moment.

updated OS to the windows 10 technical preview on this 1020 . Now this phone equally better to Iphones response. the entire UI is fantastic . you will get an improved Music app and video app. and fully transparent full wallpaper based home screen. a new windows store. But still some legacy apps are missing on windows 10 . like Lumia camera and some other stuffs.

Guys, I have noticed that my 1020's photo awesome clarity is lost. Photos are coming darker and with slight cloudy appearance on some photos. I can clearly see the difference between the currently clicked photos and the ones i had clicked 7-8 months ago. Its really annoying and it feels like i am using ordinary camera. Do i have to clean the lens or is it a hardware problem. Please let me know as my phone is still under warranty
