jeCk, 12 Feb 2015Hi L1020 users, I chose to buy L1020 due to its unique d... moreMaybe u have defected battery back cover...or check your mail.sync setting...keep tat to 1 hour or more...iam getting decent battery life...heavy use 11 to 14 hrs meduim use 20 hrs...and 1 day.or.more with.light use...my phone is 1.5 yrs old

Got my Denim update last night 11/02/15..Lumia camera now faster phone running more smooth and faster plus got all the little bells and whistles. Haven't test if there's been an improvement in battery life as yet, I battery life was never too much an issue for as I usually pull 30-34 hrs on moderate usage and 15-20 hrs from heavy usage( not a gamer so that's excluded from my usage). This phone is my first run with windows and I must say its been a great experience thus far.will update on battery life when I have a chance to test it out.

Hi L1020 users,
I chose to buy L1020 due to its unique design.
My only problem is that the battery life.
Background tasks are disabled, always airplane mode, wifi-off,bluetooth not often use, glance off, brightness low, vibrate off, battery saver always on, still, with regular use I only last 8 - 12 hrs in full-charge (2hrs). Sometimes, It would only last about 6 hrs, with wifi on, quite gaming, pictures.
I will be more satisfied if this would last a day in intensive use. Still, no regrets to its features and I'm planning to buy a powerbank for this. :)

i m also a supporter of symbian OS.
Windows is nothing in front of symbian.
PV 808 gives me 4 times more battery than Lumia 1020...

do u people able to play casual game in 1020?
My mobile become very hot sply at camera hump after 10 min of gaming & its unbearable..

USB on the go and FM transmitter are features I like a lot beside real multitasking and customization of symbian platforms.

There are things in which symbian is just way smarter then all systems on this market: Battery efficiency, RAM handeling, let's not forget the mighty real multitasking that nobody can dream and open close programs in real tine (not hanging somewhere in the tasks as always heappens with other systems. The posibillity to manipulate what will stay in the processes and so many more that defines it for a real smartphone. Well, what would you miss? Fm transmiter, usb on the go, hdmi, realtime multitasking (i still hate how wp multitasks, is pathetic). If you are a geek you will probably miss the option to play with opened task and to have more cobtrol on the core system. With wp android ios you can forget it. Yeah android trys to simulate some symbian stuff, but well. Nope, they are not close to that and an android user will never understand why am i saing this. Just cause they don't know how symbian really function. They don't understand symbian is not just a mobile system, symbian was the only mobile system that simulate a pc in many, many MANY ways. Sadly, we will never see the power of it cause well, Nokia never really upgraded it's guts to a more powerfull state. What will you gain? Plain interface( i love the interface of wp, i have to admit) i tried to make my n8 look like an wp as much as possible. Speed. Yeah speed is speed and an 680 mhz processor cannot face a plain interface working on a dual core. (now o quad cores). Bigger better screen, Camera. Well, yeah, ia better, of course is better, has 41 mpx:). To tell you the truth, now i will go bak to symbian only if: Has 2GB RAM, a dual-core clocked at 1700mhz and a 41mpx camera with lumia design:). Ok lumia design is not that important. So this has to tell you something. Would i recomend it to you? Well, i don't know. The only thing making me not to be sure is the battery. It sucks, big time. No mattter what i do, i cannot pass 1 day and half, now has gotten even worse, i don't seem to pass 20 hours barier. It's eating battery like skitles. Now maybe mine is defectous, i don't know... But for sure i hate tgis battery. I would tell you to wait for a new flagship, if you have money, juat cause of the battery. But if you think the battery is not that much of a problem to you then, yes it is a worthy upgrade. Keep in mind that camera eats even more. 2% per 1 minute after my calculations. That's allot!

I am using Nokia N8 for 3 years and i want to buy Lumia 1020 as my next phone.Can you tell me your experience with the phone. Is it worth of upgrading and replacing legendary N8.

But it worked ok, cannot complain to much. When 8.1 came out (you also maybe know) we could not update so we had to use nokia tools to downgrade tge system back to 8, from 8.1.1 well, was a bit shity to go back to 8. Well, then i dhad 8.1 but still i wanted the latest :). But after all the bad experience i had with the update (i don't like formatting, it all takes to damn long) and after seing how stable my phone became with the cyan, i decided to let it like this. Never thought i will wait almost half a year for this really small update, this just makes me nervous....

Bob, 07 Feb 2015how do I zoom in and out when video recording?That's one feature that sort of irritates me. With the 808 one could use the volume buttom to zoom in and out but with the 1020 you have to pinch to zoom in and out on the screen itself.

It's worth buying this wonderful cam phone over any samsung camera phone attempt.
This 1020 blows away the competition if you can speak of competition.
Even the 920 and 1520 blow the competition away...
Camera is just awesome.
Get yourself a 1020 and enjoy ultimate smoothness and superb photos!

I just love every thing about 1020, one of the best phone I have ever used, the camera O my God so nice, the Speed just so good, so easy to use, its my first time with it but is like am been with it for years.
