Everythin... moreFirst u can go back to 8.0 with Nokia Recovery Tool secondly you can update when the official update arrives as for the issues you are have I am having them too but with the smart cover u wont notice the heat too much and under heavy usage with Cortana and constant wifi or 3g I can still get over 10 hours that's on heavy usage

I recently purchased the 1520 and updated to 8.1. Everything functions smoothly but the battery is draining very fast and also the phone gets heated near the camera lens all the time.
Can anyone out there help me with this regard?? Please
I am aware that I cannot go back to 8.0 but once the official 8.1 update is out will I be able to update it officially through the network provider as we'll? Please someone help me with my two questions. I spent all my money on this device and I do not want to regret it

Someone suggested exactly what you mentioned. But added that you restart the phone once changing region with language then once restarted the phone will search for the Cortana update which loads onto the phone.... This does not happen on my phone.

you need to change your region to US region in case u want cortana in your phone. give a try and hope u enjoy it :)

Hey looked several luring comments posted by fellows in this platform an I got convinced to purchase this Lumia 1520. Well the device functional properties are a great deal. Camera superb, feels good on the hand and is stylist.
however lay you hands on the OS and regret why you ever paid for this gadget.
Windows Phone 8 OS IS WAY TOO rudimentary and just below basic as compared to android of any generation.i regret it so much. No file manager is available,flv files don't. Play. No application for chm files. To mention.....
make a better choice. Android is a better choice when buying a phone

one word ,,,,,awesome,,,,,,, i am android user last 2 years i used lots of different handset like ,, note 2, note 3, s5 ,, s4 ,,, but you cant compare with any of them nokia 1520 ,,,,thats the power horse ,,, loved every time when ever used it ,,, amazing build quality ,, camera stylelish handset ,,,, i found windows system batter than android ,,, very smooth like butter ,,, different experience ,,,,,,, i am waiting for next window 6 inch phone ,, same as the 1520 or batter ,,, awesomenesssssssss,,,,LOVED THE YELLOW COLOUR ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
