Go to settings > internet sharing > turn ON then follow instructions chose username and password thats it ..... !

It's now my fourth week with my new favorite toy, the Lumia 1520:). I am a first time WP user, my previous phones were Galaxy S2,iPhone 4, Note 1, Note 2, Nexus 4.
So far this phone is like nothing i've used before or tried; amazing.
Battery Life: it's the first phone i've used were i didnt need to carry my usb cable with me to keep charging during the day. yesterday, from 8am 100% till 11pm 17%; i had 3g ON all day. watched 1 small youtube video, gamed for 15 minutes, browsed about 10 minutes, a couple calls, took 6 pictures at work (cam scanner), and whatsapp all day. Plus at the office i have low signal and that's bad for the battery.
Camera quality: again, like no mobile i've used before, i'd say for a mobile or any average user i wont ever need an any better cam on my mobile (not really:) but that's how good it is!). And it's been ages since I've used a dedicated camera button, and now i can feel how stupid that was! The dedicated Camera button is just what the doctor ordered.
I've put a 64gb Class 10 sd card which is fast and perfect for phone with a cam like this (+lot's of vids and music).

Software is fast and stable, no force closes, and the 2gb RAM is more than enough for it.
Microsoft Eco.: Am not new to their services, and on this device they are more than complete; One Note, One Drive, Office, etc... it's a pretty professional and complete set of services. also Microsoft has some productivity apps of it's own that come pretty handy.
Nokia HERE Maps: I've used google maps a lot and i know how excellent it is, so i was surprised to find HERE Maps just as good and then some. and the offline gps directions are awesome, i got a lock within seconds and offline gps directions with voice worked like a charm.
Size and Display: the display size is awesome, anyone accustomed to phablets will definitely enjoy this peace of art. and under sunlight legibility is one of a kind, i think i've only seen it matched on my friends Note3.
Apps/Games: i think this is a subjective part, all anyone needs to do is go over to the windows phone apps website and check to see if your important app is there. for me all the apps i need are there, i only wanted a couple specific games that I like which i didn't find :( . Every 'Top Free' 'Top Rated' app you need from either apple's store or play store is here, if not, then am sure you'll find an even better 3rd party app for it just like you can on the app store and play store.
Interface: I've got used to the live tiles quickly as i understood how they work, and in a lot of cases, but not all!, they remove the need to open the app itself or wait for a notification.
the only downside here is settings toggles! I know they're coming soon with the 8.1 Update and some other features...still I missed the toggles. You can pin to the homepage small shortcuts to settings like wifi, but they are not on/off buttons, they take you to the wifi settings page instead to turn it on/off from there.
there's much tricks and advantages from the Lumia 1520. This is a perfect phone recommended for anyone, who doesn't mind a phablet, but if you're a Microsoft services user, or even happen to love your Xbox, then you'll love this phone even more.

This are the pros and cons to a new lumia user. Cons:the worst 4/3g connection ever seen in a smartphone 2)many apps are paid in wp not in droid(youtube in trial).3)apps absent e.g Bbm ,meta trader 4 for trading)4)unoptimised apps(instagrams is in betta mode). the pros.1)excellent battery.2)above average display.3)excellent camera software n hardware.4)so fast,fluid n almost virus free.

Sony has out Ultra 2 6" better specs ad intro price 350€. Have tough competition plus camera ad wifi problem will continue, until 8.1 update by mid April.No option fr restart nor warranty backup. They just put a card no way to test fault only upgrade firmware ir reset factory. This we can do urselves. Third world this is service centre is made for only.

I bought the Nokia flip cover for this phone in yellow. Cost me $35 and after a week it has gone dirty/black and you cant clean it. Don't get the yellow colour case get the black colour one because you can't see the dirt on it

Its pathetic, flip cover in some blacks are white ad some white. This shows the repacking standards. Secondly prices fluctuations have wiped out 10 thou from te start of sale. How do we recover ram? Apart frm closing apps no way. Connectivity wth wifi is poor at once msg MS Store is closed. Hype has gone, I envisage price to touch 60 wthin month. Is it show of demand or no demand!
