I've just purchased one looking forward to using it despite no apps using it as basic phone I've got sick of android and its is out of the question.

I don't know why, but even though there are phones nowadays with larger screens, I still feel as if this phone is extremely big and bulky. I don't quite understand what it is about it.

I bought 2nd hand Lumia 1520 in 2017 to run excellent OS maps app.
Charger connection became unreliable, Qi charging plate solved problem..Now I've acquired an unused 1520 with excellent battery, hoping to upgrade to Windows Phone 10 as I had done for 3 previous phones. But Microsoft Store unfindable on the 8.1 server hence no access to the updater app. Having hoped to scrape a few more months of map and camera use on this glorious new phone I'm now frustrated. Any assistance hugely appreciated. Oh how I wish they'd not chucked Windows Phone in the river!

then a good browser is badly needed... with pwa support and notifications etc.
and other major apps like facebook, instagram, youtube, spotify etc.

I still have my Nokia Lumia 1520 till this day but the problem is i cant power it on. No matter what i've tried still it wont power on. I must say Lumia 1520 is the best ever phone that i've purchased & i miss to use it as my daily drive smartphone.

I'm having a challenge in sourcing a matching gadget!

Perfect integration with Window desktop. Look what cannot be done with current phones costing £1000or more...

Back then when WP looked like a promise and the 1520 was a true flagship... 2013 was the break or make year for WP... eventually it was abandoned it by MS and they just flush the toilet.
