No one cares about using an outdated phone. No one cares if you have an iphone or an lg g flex. No one cares about high end specs. Companies release phone every 10 months because they need to make money; they hype up and market their products so that foolish people will buy it, hence the companies make money, their share prices goes up. What do you get? a snapdragon 801 instead of the 'old' 800. Oh yeh, HUGE HUGE difference. Too bad no apps really NEED that power (oh yeh your facebook and twitter and instagram yeap).
Look at apple....look at this guys, super duper innovation...64 bit processor...erm, so what? which app actually utilise this? And is it worth it to spend 6 bucks on top of the 1000 golden 5s?

i think i found the cause of the heating.....after win8.1 os cyan update.
when u have windos8 running and suddenly update to windows8.1, the apps which are running for windows8 will try to run now in windows8.1 and if its not able to run, its keeps trying the application to run. the collection of the apps will try running simultaneously increasing CPU usage, there by starting heat up process.
solution for the heating problem.
1. if ur presently in win8.1 cyan, backup all u required for future. don't backup apps.
2. use a software provided by Nokia to roll back your OS to windows 8 from :"Nokia Software Recovery
Tool".download from www.windowsphone.com.
3. once u had rolled back,ur os is as good as new. you will be asked to restore the backed up apps at the configuration process,DO NOT DO THIS.
4. when ur asked to restore earlier backed up data, click on the link do not restore(i don't know exact phrase Nokia said, sorry!!!)
5. now ur windows8 is as good as new installation still.
6. finish all ur configuration(left out) and reach to the welcome screen,where u can see tiles.
7. without doing anything, go to update in settings and run for phone software update. it will provide an initial patch,which will install first to make ur device compatible to windows8.1(kind of patch which checks compatibility)
8. after installation and reboot and configuration, rerun phone update again. this time u are asked to update for 8.1 cyan, go ahead and download complete software and prepare ur device for installation.
9. make sure u have at least 50% battery to run down for installation.
10.all the above steps is to make sure , none of you had installed any apps or any settings in windows8 and without any previous settings u had installed windows8.1. so there by we had ruled out settings and compatibility issues which makes device heat up.
11.after installation of windows8.1, if u had backed up 8.1 before doing all the above steps(1 to 10),please neglet the backup andd start from the fresh.
12.now ur 8.1 is running fresh os wihtout 8.1 backed settings and without 8.0's backup.
13.device has nothing to make herself heat now. she will be as cool as ur.
14.use her the way u like, configure now what ever u want. device when configuring will have a small heating sensation,since u r updating. after that it will never heat up.
15.all the best for you dry run of all the above steps.
16.i had solved two of my friend's 1520 phone's problem in my home itself following same above. pretty much confident it works for you all
who ever is having heating issues after 8.1 update.
17.do let me know if ur solved with issues after doing all the above steps.
I always love to hear. i am doing it for the good and welfare of all 1520 users.
please don't make fun of the post i posted, it hurts...!!!!since u did for good ,without any expectation and NONE UNDERSTOOD. instead i can delete the post.
give ur opinion, is all i need. i will consider as feather to my hat for the effort and time i had spent on doing this research and Solution.

and think from manufacturer perspective...!!!.
as a owner of mobile manufacturing company ,you will manufacture 1000 pieces of this mobile for first sale and only 25 sold out(since high price tag), where will company throw rest of mobile. leave about sales, what about the returns of the money u invested on its manufacturing and workmanship.
most of the companies thinks this way.i am sure nokia will think thrice before getting such a heavy specs.
we as a user will think as our desire, there are people out there who also thinks of their money too....
