macker, 07 Sep 2015Is there something I can set so it dosnt use so quike data Get rid of it. I am looking for a new one already - this is a phone you wouldn't want even if they paid you to have it. It is designed to force you to use exclusively outdated Microsoft apps. Everything else will be a problem, SD card will be damaged and useless, so don't waste your Tim and money. Yeah and it edits your text without asking. I wrote time, it edited it to Tim got tired tapping this unresponsive screen to correct it. Do you need more reasons to stay away?

Answer was reset to factory settings as in their opinion phone has no problems what so ever. Apparently we are all imbecils and we just imagine that phone has heaps of problems even with basic and factory installed applications.

Hi, I purchased a Nokia Lumia 530. It was clearly a mistake. When I click on apps sometimes it boots me right out and shows me the home screen. I purchased a sim card becuase the Nokia Lumia 530 can only hold like 1 mb. I half way used the card and it says so storage space. i go on storage sense and i have lots of storage left. I tried deleting pictures and videos and apps but it says "sorry can'y delete at this time". I try to attach pictures to emails so I click the attach button, choose the photo and click done. Then I look in the "compose" email section and the picture is not there.You can't even email videos on the Nokia Lumia 530. And sometimes it says can not send email.****** REFRESHING DOES NOT WORK FOR THE PROBLEMS LISTED******. On instagram there is no dm and video and most apps are not in the windows apps store or it in dumb beta Videos in you Instagram feed do NOT play. There is no front camera on the Nokia Lumia 530 nor is there a timer so you can take a selfie. I had to download FOUR camera apps when on any other phone you can use one app for all of that. People say the NOKIA'S are known fpr their camera, but the camera isn't that good. The phone does not come with basic apps that are pretty much on the average phone. Also on FLIPAGRAM it says "can not make flip because of bad connectivity" when i have 5 bars and 4g. There is audio - visual delay on Netflix and much more is wrong with this phone. Buy if you like wasting your money. iI'd give it 0 stars of I could. Nothing is good with this phone. I know iPhones are way more expensive, but it is worth it.

Thank god people.... almost got two of these on contract "buy 1, get 1 free deal" for R99(South African Rand) per month x 24.... or at R999 pre paid (100$ +/-)
Thinking its a GREAT phone from MicroSoft as if they trying to under cut there compitition from the S Class...
Wanted to mainly use it for Whats App, and thinking it would have a upgrade to Windows 10 and now and then use Google Maps / Gps...
So glad i read these comments... as im already using a 4 year old SammySung which is already getting slow... to of had my hopes up with this phone and then it giving me half the problems any of you guys mentioned..... i would of smashed this phone in my hand ...
(i used to repair mobile phones for 5years+, when angry with a phone would hold it with one hand in a cup shape and then smash the phone in, with my other hand in the middle of the phone cauzing it to break in half and be the end of the life of the phone in seconds)
So i had o take tine in ny already slow phone to type this out thanking you guys and girls for your review on the Nokia 530.
HOWEVER.... if someone thinks i am crazy and that this phone will provide me with great service and speed and space, please comment your experience with this phone...........

Unnamedc0d3r, 10 Aug 2015You are wrong, it is OK, if you're running out of RAM, that... moreI believe you confuse RAM with built in memory. RAM is low and limitations are in speed and such. Built in memory is barely enough for OS and mine just because I need to use WhatsApp is lower than suggested for updates to load correctly according to Microsoft support. Lumia camera app stopped working, screen here is so-so responsive - trouble moving cursor around text to make changes. The list of issues is extensive. To try and solve Lumia camera problem Microsoft(it was just a shot in the dark as person there was quite clueless about issues with this phone) suggested returning to factory settings. If I have to delete everything and start from scratch I'll do that on a different phone by anything but Microsoft.

If you want to use Whatsapp or other common apps that demand some phone memory forget this phone. Google maps are embarrasingly slow on this one, too. A phone to begin with just to discover what you need from a smartphone and why you wouldn't ever want anything by Microsoft - even their higher end phones seem to have small built in memories to make sure you are forced to use Microsoft apps and solutions. It isn't expensive, but even then it is not worth it and being so relatively newly launched it will be among the fastest ones to become obsolete. Thumbs down big time Microsoft.

It is confirmed that Lumia 530 will not get Windows 10 update because the minimum requirement is at least 8GB internal storage.
If you are thinking of buying this phone AND want Windows 10, STOP now!

A good phone, good quality and continuing good old day Nokia.. :)
I love this phone. However perhaps the screen is smaller than what I need. If you have bigger budget, than perhaps you would switch to higher end Nokia phone - Nokia Lumia 520 or 535.

Very sensitive phone. Very difficult to insert SIM, I broke my touch screen while trying to get it open. Cheap version in Plastic.
However, stable OS and very quick response time.
Good if you really take care of it.
