Thanks guys...but I guess I really am,in trouble....everytime the phone drops from my hand...the back cover just gets unattached and flies away 😞😞😞 seriously disheartening :'(:'(:'(

It will show install local apps when you send apps to mobile via pc. Open windows phone site on pc click on an app and click on install app manually.

AnonD-290249, 05 Aug 2014I agree completely....but the sd card option you mentioned ... more1- about sd card option u 1st need to put atleast one .xap file in ur sd card then it ll show u sd card option in store..
.xap is wp8 app/game format n now .appx is wp8.1 format..
2- about update prew4dev is OS update from microsoft n cyan is firmware from nokia..
yes u can update prew4dev.. no need to worry.. when cyan or any firmware available for ur device it automatically ask u to update..
yesterday prew4dev users get next update of wp8.1 which is wp8.1 update 1..
users get more features in this update like creating live folders on start screen n huge performance improvement in IE browser n more..
yes few flaws ther in prew4dev but that is acceptable.
to get preview for dev. update u need to create developer account free only for appstudio..
go to appstudio.com n sign up using ur microsoft account same which u created on ur phone.. now download "preview for developer" app from store.. open app n follow instructions n again sign in with this id now go to in settings> phone update n check for update.. it says u to update is ready to download..
u need wifi to update.. wp8.1 is very big update..

AnonD-290249, 04 Aug 2014Hii...i think u didn't understand what I said..the specific... moredude I understand resuming n loading is not feels good.. it is because wp os doesn't support true multitasking.. when u press home key running app pause/stick as it is in background. n when u try to open it by multitasking window it try to update itself with recent activities. so it shows loading n resuming.. it keeps os run smooth exactly opposite by android which mostly hangs with its true multitasking n everything runs in background.
dont worry with every update ms trying to remove this loading n resuming.
2- about local sd apps installation.. yes it is possible.. keep one thing in ur mind.. wp os is very secure os which not allow to download apps/games from other websites. microsoft is very serious obout ur privacy n security.
ms only allows to apps n games from its own store..
just go to windowsphone.com using pc n search any app or game u want..
at bottom u get "download n install manually".. click on it n .xap file download..
put this file only in sd card..
now remove ur phone from pc n open store in ur phone.. u get sd card option in bottom.. click n u can see ur app ther.. click n install.
Note- u need active internet connection in ur phone at that time of app/game installation to only verify app/game.. ther is no piracy allows.

I just got the Nokia Lumia 630 a few weeks ago for FREE (after $50 rebate) when joining Crickt Wireless. Before I had an iPhone, and was worried the quality would be way less than what I was accustomed to. Boy was I wrong! This phone is AWESOME. It's very user-friendly, and has many useful apps. For example, MixRadio is like a free advertisement-free version of Pandora! and the buttons on the home screen are re-sizable, which is cool. Even the camera, which I thought would be bad because it has no flash, is remarkably decent. I thought there wouldn't be enough variety of apps, but there are tons of options. Overall, I'm very pleased. (I should note, Cricket Wireless is great too, had even better coverage than Verizon when I recently traveled to Upstate NY!) Thanks Windows for making an awesome smartphone that is so affordable.

That doesn't bother me much....but what about the multitasking issues with browsers??? Why is it reloading the page all the time when I switch with other apps ???.....or not able to download when I switch apps??? The resuming is also frustrating but for most apps.....they are ok 👌

guys wp8.1 update 1(gdr1) is live,now to download for wp8.1 dev preview users.. just active ur preview 4 dev app n start to get more new features..

Just keep the xap/appx on sd card and open store app. You will be able to install. Make sure you are connected at the time of install to check for validation.

All are/is well but problem is that to download huge file or app need to connect over wi-fi and there is no backup system in sd only move system presents in.there are no more games and apps on store like as on play store...
We can make a backup of file only with the help of computer 💻....
At last better camera 📷 and better look better performance.... Better battery backup...

This is my first wp and is truly loving every bit of it....but strangely the install from local in store is missing!!! I cant find the reason or solution...that might be a small problem with the software....and also multitasking seems very frustrating.....even the browsers reload everytime I take it again even when not using any app in the background.....i wud realy appreciate it if someone helped me out now ð but this phone is wonderful and is my current favourite ð

Hello...friends...!! If someone owns this phone...can anyone tell me that.....is it possible to keep a backup of any app that we want on sd card...?? so that if we accidently uninstalled an app then we can again install it from sd card without wasting our mobile data....??
