I am experiencing a 3G network related problem even before updating to Amber (720). I hope microsoft would make an update that would allow us to choose between 3G only, 2g or 3g(preferred), 2g only, 4g only, and etc. The current setting (base on my observation), only allows us to connect to the strongest network.Hence my phone will always be in 2G.Any one facing the same problem?

Does this void my phone's warranty if I update my Lumia 720 with gdr3 using "preview for developer" app???
if anything wrong happens then will nokia care take my problem or they will just say that your you have voided your warranty???
please anyone suggest me...

I'm planning to buy one... :(Not too problematic, if user experiences hang or restart, she/he maybe experiences something wrong with her/his phone or uses under class microSD or something else. The main problem of Windows Phone is the OS itself. Imagine, it is restricted, video is restricted, no file manager, protecting user in order to user download trusted apps from Store only is good idea, but the question is how about the apps are given? Can be as good as Android apps? I use Lumia 520, very little app that good. After in GDR3 I don't receive automatically incoming message in WeChat, Skype is the same too. Skype is Microsoft product now, but in fact compared to Skype in Android, Skype Android ia still better. So, the problem the OS itself.

I'm from India using BSNL and here 2G is extremely slow and 4G is not yet out in my area . I want to have '3G only' option for data, to lock my network on 3G network.
Before amber update in my Lumia 720, I was able to use 3G only data using the ##3282 field test method.But now it isn't working after the amber update..neither in the GDR3 Preview. There had been apps like "3G switch" in the android which I was using in my previous phones. Any help in locking to "3G only" mode will be greatly appreciated.
This phone is a waste phone without the above feature and it has now become a 2G Phone.

I bought this mobile 4 months back,,,frm the day itself i faced lots of problm like restarting n between,,and hanging while calling or atend a call..one day suddently the mobile went off mode no one can restrt that finally i had gone to nokia care center that people cant find the resn and they send my mobile to Delhi,,,and said that it will get back after one month,,how the customer will be. i requestd them to replace that they ar not ready to.simply telling i wasted my money by choosing NOKIA LUMIA 720.

just bought and very satisfied with phone. before i used samsung s3 mini, iphone 4, oppo find way. Lumia beat them all. i think this lumia is the last. Love it. sorry my english :)
