Also having 3G issues after Amber update(not a good update cos it only brings little improvement) Most of the time I see E when I turn on 3G. I don't know but I think 3G after amber update is downgraded to 2G/3G, with the 2G getting the upper hand. I've also noticed a drop in battery, this is likely due to the phone trying to find the best network between 2G and 3G. Yes, location, glance,etc are turned off by me.

AnonD-181642, 02 Oct 2013I can do this features on my phone. I'm L720 owner.What "this feature" did you mean? File manager here what I meant was file manager like Android. In Android I can read PDF store in SD card, sent it using Bluetooth, email, copy paste, I can read Word and Excel, move it, copy paste it, without should pay for file manager.

poor hardware lumia 720 designed, for those who use the same smartphone beyond 18 Months,
ie after completely drained 500 to 700 battery charged cycles(max.)

its been a week since i updated my lumia 720 to amber frankly speaking the update solved many problems caused by os bugs nd works fine now but it also gave rise to many problems
1)SIGNAL DROP ISSUES frequently signal drops when i put my phone i my pocket but it was fine before update
2)AUTO RESTART not able to switch my phone off
3)BATTERY DRAIN my battery drain is increased by 3 times after update
is anyone having solution to these problems

Hi frnds its a long time that i hd been posted for our soul Lumia ,.recently some day before i hd updated my 720 to amber nd everything goes fine ..radio is pretty good ,.nd glance is awsm ,,everything seems to be good ,,,but after the update my Lumia is not working with 3g network means i mostly use 2g but whenever i hav a heavy file i just change the max data speed from settings to 3g .. Before update it was fine but now it does not ..i search for network manually there i found the 2g nd 3g both available but after choosing 3g or automatic i didn't get 3g network ...my question is ,,is there any with this problem ,,if yes then is there any way to solve it ,.?????

AnonD-191900, 30 Sep 2013i m confused b/w Sony xperia L and Lumia 720.. which one... moreXperia L belongs to those mid range Androids that starts stuttering pretty soon on account of medium specs on a resource hungry OS. Would suggest Lumia 720, drop dead looks, battery is actually good (lasts one day with music, 3G, videos etc.). camera is a standout feature. The only issue is a somewhat limited marketplace. I considered Experia L before purchasing the Lumia 720 and dont regret the decision at all
