Elango YK, 11 Jul 2013Guys, Can anybody tel why there is no good third party vide... moreSome files are managed by inbuilt hub. E.g .mp4,.wmv and .mpeg. You need to put those files in 'Videos' folder or in saved pictures.

Here is the procedure to play other videos:

      1. Put the file in SD card outside videos folder. Don't add it into videos folder. Put it in any other directory.

      2. Look for the apps 'Kirik SD File Viewer Lite' (free) or 'Kirik SD File Viewer' (paid). These apps show you contents of your sd card. Open the file using these apps.

      3. Install these player apps: FLV video player (flv), YXPlayer (paid), SDcard video player (this one mostly won't work). When you open file using step 2, your video will play.

Dude windows store is still getting populated. and there are two players on your lumia. one is nokia music and other is music+videos. Use Nokia music for downloading the music and for listening use music+videos you can manage playlists there.
There is one player called Audioplayer in stores you can try that out.

Good News: - Microsoft increases Windows Phone 8 support lifecycle to 36 months instead of previous 18.
Words to worry about: - Official statement says "These updates will be incremental, with each update built on the update that preceded it. The mobileoperator or phone manufacturer may control the distribution of these incremental updates and update availability may also vary by country, region, and device hardware capabilities" - No mobile operator locked devices in India so that is out of the question, Phone manufacturer is Nokia, so its 99% chance we will get theupdates, the thing that has worried me the most is "device hardware capabilities", so lets say if certain update requires 1GB of RAM we are screwed. But then again WP8.1 is said to be coming to our devices. So hoping for the best.

                          hi all,

it really depends on HOW a user uses their phone properly. I've been hands-on quite a lot on this Lumia 720, the specs and performance everything here satisfied my need, and this phone is quite a recent new.

I've been using HTC Mozart 7 (Windows Phone 7 device) for almost 3 years, and my battery is slowly dead soon as I couldn't find a better battery for this 'cause it's quite rare, that's why I decided to go for Lumia 720 next month.

I've been a fan to Nokia since my first phone is this brand. We can actually see how hard Nokia is trying raise our attention on their LUMIAs.

Just turn off those unnecessary settings which you never really used them, and also turn it off by setting yourself a quick tab/pin to make you easy to turn off connectivity while it's not in use. Battery is really a small matter but you really encounter such problems, find a service person to help you out. If not, it MIGHT not be the phone's problem then.

No offense to everyone here, this is purely my point of view and thoughts on what I see the overall opinions here.

                          Cheers! =D

This phone has the best battery life i've ever com across in a phone,i had been using androids for years but they all had battery draining issues but not this one,now i don't have to carry the charger with me all the time,i charge it just for 3 hours(to 100%)at night and in the morning it remains the same, turn off automatic brightness and set it to low, also i turn of battery saver,i'm not a gamer, just play some games for about half an hour or so,but i use what's application and facebook, the battery easily lasts for 2-3days.
