AnonD-241676, 03 May 2014Hi I pls clear me this doubt. I have updated my 620 to 8.1 ... moredude its just prew4dev update for app devs... its early access n ms still working on it.. now nokia testing update on ther devices n they fix issues like battery drain n other things.. so dont worry..
n about games in app list.. everyone dislikes it.. yesterday when ms joe was online on Reddit then lots of ppls ask to remove this games from app list in final build.. so joe replied that now in current update it is not possible coz its they deeply wrote these codings in os.. so to change it is time consuming..
but he promices that in next gdr updates they make it optional to keep or remove games from app list..
he also told that lots of users demanding more quick setting toggles in action centre like mobile data on/off.. so he told that they wil consider to add this.. but its not sure
my suggestion is to all is go to ms uservoice siten vote for feature u want coz ms devs follos uservoice feature demand.. u knw file manager is most voted feature on uservoice n now they giving us official file manager..
so vote.. its important

But battery drains very very veryyyyy fast. And above all the games are not only In the games hub but they appear also in the app list. I am not at all satisfied with it. Will it be solved in the official update pls tell plssss

guy about battery drain issue and other few small issues after installation of wp8.1 prew4dev..
prew4dev is update from ms for app devs for early access of update.. it is not from OEM like nokia.. these two months before lumia cyan update from nokia is importent n issue fixing time for devs of ms as well as of app devs to upgrade ther apps to new features..
means this is still not final build of wp8.1 update..
n ms not checked this update on all devices.. its job of respective OEMs loke nokia to check performance of update on each device..
and this official update wl come from nokia from june with fixing all issues for respective devices..
so now dont blame ms for it.. ms is hardly working on update n app development... all issues get resolve in final build...

guys yesterday ms joe bolfiore told on AMA raddit that ms devs working on official file manager for wp8.1 and wl availble untill the end of this may on wp store to download..
til then two fully functioned file managers are already available on store
1- airize file explorer
2- pocket file manager
Note- these r only compatible with wp8.1 updated devices.. n not works on wp8 update..

Lumia 720 is best phone in look and also in features but after 8.1 update(Dev updates)and its hanging so many times.
i m thinking that MS going do down their market in mobile section/
software very poor yet.....plz update as android updatng new features and devloping their operating system/

To get the windowsphone 8.1, you must have Developer MS account and Preview for Developer App installed in your WP to download the update. First phase is the OS version update to get the 8.1 patch (.166) After installation, reset your phone to avoid incompatible apps like Video and Facebook.

i love this phone . amazing lumia... fast and no lagging no handing lik stupid androids ...!!! camera is osum...!!! after 8.1 update thers was bettery prblm... after reseting...!! battery prblm solved at my average usage... its bettery back up 1.5 days....

After updating my Lumia 720 to wp 8.1, now I am facing a problem in Video. I can't open the video app it close suddenly when the video app is opens. So I can't able to see any videos now. What to do now?? plz help
