ya bro i know all the WP7 upgrade stuff, but whatever the reasons might be i got stuck with it for 2 years so i got frustrated.
As it was my first smartphone so i didn't know about that kernel and other things, i just bought it(L710) because i always used Nokia devices but that was a big disappointment.
Still i trust Nokia so bought L730 and i made a good choice. so cheers.
And got a doubt how do you know this much about all this MS stuff? are you a developer or something?

Guys I bought Lumia 730 2 days ago and I have to charge the phone after every 24 hours. I have disabled most of the applications to run them from background.
Previously I was using Lumia 625 and its battery was awesome for 48 hours.
Although on paper Lumia 730's battery is better than 625's. But I am facing this problem.
If anyone else facing this problem. or if anyone who has better experience share please.

Good news about VLC media player,
vlc for wp8.1 passed test certification from microsoft.
vlc devs told today that they are lauching vlc media player for all wp8.1 users in next week...

you can transfer contacts if you have saved the contacts in outlook. in windows phone wjhen we import contacts it saved as outlook contact

WP os doesn't need any antivirus app like android. wp os is closed source like ios n it is self protected... no need of any antivirus here like android which is open source and supports virus filled java.. so android needs antivirus but wp os is virusfree... no need of any antivirus here..
aboy flv playback, various 3rd party video players are here.. their is not only MX player in this world...which is android feeded app..

Microsoft is software and services company first... microsoftis very big company having various different divisions.. Office, onedrive, xbox(music, videos, games), windows, skype and lot of different services ms has and on every single service their is different workers division works.. and every division's goal is to distribute any perticular service to all possible users(no matter its wp, android, ios, desktops n more)...
WP is also a one service/branch of a big tree.... and respective division/team is continuously working on WP os... ms launching their famous services apps on other platform that doesn't means they dropping WP development or support.. wp division is working or focusing totally on w10 for phones. all microsoft services are coming for wp with w10 update with full package for wp consumers. everything is coming. just wait.. WP is still in under development stage. android is almost totally baked os.. so give time to prepare updates... W10 is big jump for wp os..

wp7 was total locked os like ios with less n restricted features. n ms developed it on old kernel... so they drop plan of wp7 as soon as possible.
n they shift on latest NT Kernel for future development. so its not possible to shift old kernel wp7 users on new kernel wp8+ platform. it was mistake done by ms.. but now their is nothing advanced than NT kernel so future development is sticking with NT..
so Wp8 users are definitely getting w10 for phones because w10 is developed on same kernel...
and microsoft officially announced yesterday that all wp8+ users getting w10 update. no matters how old this device is...

about lumia 730... they never expect 730 gets that much popularity so they came with limited stock... just give them time to produce more devices.. its not india only... they are distributing 730/35 in whole world so such things takes time... production is slow and demand is very high so just wait....
ms not stopped 730 development... if that is a case then they was never produce it.. 730, 830 are crafted under ms hood not nokia... n 730 are promoting on TV as 730 ad... I almost see 730 ad 10-20 times on different tv channels daily. if they dropped support as you said then why they wasting their money to promote 730..
so don't worry... they never stop support for nokia branding phones... because their are 99.99% lumia devices has nokia branding on lumia phone.. so just chill..
no any leak about upcoming devices. I have leaked image of microsoft branding phones
one is recently launched 535,
other looks 6" phablet... I think 1320,
and one other unknown device having 5" screen n back looks same as 730...
but their is no any internal code found of these other two devices on IDC database.
535 codes rm1089,1090,1092 are leaked almost two months ago on IDC database.
so don't expect new devices soon..
microsoft reserving lots of new phones releases for w10...
about VLC media player which is launching next week for all wp8.1+ users.. free of cost.. confirmed.

everything is working fine on my Lumaia 730 but I'm unable to download Lumia ReFocus app. It says"this might be because the app isn't available in your country or region, it was removed from the store by publisher, or it's exclusive to a different mobile provider.
if your phpne software is out of date(settings>Phone Update), it's possible that updating will fix the problem."
I have latest lumia update Denim.
and microsoft have mentioned on there page about lumia 730 that Lumia refocus is available.
what's wrong with my device,anybody???
