Hi guys I am planning to buy a new phone and I am confused between the Motorola Moto g2 and the Lumia 730... Which do you think is better...?? I am not worried about the lesser number of apps... I just want a fast phone without any lags that can do all the daily tasks easily...i am using Android right now and am fed up with the lags...

I would love to wait.
If you could notice, i wrote this user feedback today, after using it for a month.
All i wanted is a stable and smooth phone experience, and user friendly.
I never wanted to compare it with android etc. Just switched from android 2.2 to wp 8.1. Since it was a very early generation of smartphone, my expectation from wp was higher.
I am using microsim from the very first day. I take care of the battery cycle also, wait till its upto 12% and blocks internet.
Probably i couldnt explain the scroll lag properly. It is not for the websites, but for various lists like people list (contact list), lists like-to select names of state or some other lists available in various websites through their respective mobile versions.
I have one query. Whether Lumia 730 is upgradable? Whether i can upgrade to WP 10 when released (i wont mind with charges), or the software upgrade will impare some functionalities like nnon availability of camera etc if upgraded to wp10?
The kit headphone is not of good quality. I have a number of good headphone of sony make, tried all but have same problem mentioned earlier. Music systems aux in also not supported. What i understand is Lumia 730 & 630 require propreitary headphones of nokia make.

I am being using L730 for last 15 days and excellent performance. Today suddenly the phone stopped and restarted automatically while i was playing Blocked In game. Is anyone has faced this type of issues?

At first i thought it was just whatsapp but even after resetting the phone (only preinstalled apps in the phone) the backup was poor. Apps like Store and Facebook were draining the battery quickly. Isnt that abnormal? Do you think its a software issue or hardware?

I purchased this L730 last oct 25th and being using as smooth, today while i was playing Blocked In, the phone suddenly stopped and restarted automatically itself???

Guys I am using this phone for last 10 days..from my experience this phone is awesome..performace,camera,battery backup are excellent..only thing I notice is some heating problem which can be ignored easily..in my opinion,just buy it..

Just look for few more days and open and check all apps usage one by one in your battery saver. Open batterysaver, swipe to usage and select show all apps at the top and check if any app or any game, if they are running in background. There were some which didnt have the option to disallow them to run in background but are running. If so try to uninstall them. I had some apps of that kind and the situation really improved after i uninstalled them.

But the battery backup is still really poor. I've tried blocking all the background apps. I've even tried resetting the phone. But nothing helped. Getting only 8 hours of battery backup.

Is it a genuine microsim card or is it a cutted one from mini sim? My friend faced the same probelm. He used a cutted sim. He then replaced with a microsim getting it from the vodafone store and now no problems.
And abput the call not getting cut problem...it is due to the absence of network. If the network is lost suddenly, it will not get cut and you can do it once the network is back.

For all the guys who have been complaining about battery draining. Come on, that is a new battery. It requires some cycles of charging to get to its optimum. There is no problem at all with battery. My whatsapp and hike, both ive set to run in background. And after 8-9 hrs of my sleep the battery is down by 3-4 percent only. And i've played dead target game for 1 hour and used whatsapp for 30 min and internet explorer browsing net for about 45 min. After 2 and half hour usage of this caliber(i was checking my time while using just to check its performance) the battery was down from 72% to 51 %. This is really excptional according to me...Thats the best i've got from any of my previous mobiles. So just stay patient and let your battery reach its optimum. Dont just complain about it as soon as you start using it. give it some time
Just follow somethings while using it for first few days. Dont use it while charging. Make sure you run through the entire charge till it goes less than 10% and then make sure you charge it to 100%. Dont do short charges. Dont use it improperly in the earlier stages of the battery, that may ruin its capability to some extent. Follow these for a few days and then you can find it yourself. It is one of the best.

So, it quite clear that Microsoft is working hard to improve their OS & they care about the conviniency of the user. With every update, experince is getting better & better.
About BBM, sorry but i havent used it till now, but it may be the network issue, do the set-up after sometime orelse try doing a soft reset. If still the issue persists, kindly uninstall BBM & re-install it. It may solve the issue.
& ya, i am not an expert, but still u can anytime ask any issue, i will surely try to solve it.

shashi, 09 Nov 2014Exactly which phone is having screen flickering issue 730 o... moredude both 730 n 735 are same phone.. only difference is one is single sim and other is dual sim.. so flickering is available in both... only few users affected by this.. it is definitely os flaw.. microsoft definitely fix it.
for your kind information 735 single sim phone not coming in India.. only 730 dual sim is available in india.
today another leaked image from china showing 3 new phones coming with microsoft branding.. microsoft launching these 3 devices at 11th november. 2 days to go..

730 has very initial build of lumia denim... microsoft still working on denim and ms definitely provide fixing update in coming days.
2- scroll lag is very very very rare thing for WP... just try soft reset as it fix or not... just press volume down key + power key same time fore 10-15 secs. your phone vibrates n restart.. soft reset doesn't delete anything so do it 2-3 times. then check your phones gives you scrolling lag or not.. let me know.
3- buy original microsim then try... wp os by default try to select best network in your area.. if 3G signal is weak then it try to switch on 2G...
4- for battery block background tasks of unessesary apps using battery saver application. also these batteries takes time to give its actual power... just complete few battery cycles to get more battery potential. charge battery to 100% then don't plug it until battry drains to 10% or less.. then again charge to 100% n so on.. do it occasionally.
5- yes email app lacks proper sharing feature. Hope ms fix it with W10 update. till then open office app n choose share to your mail... or download "Files" app from store and select documents n share it on your email...
6- try other headphones.
7- current IE11 lacks only background download n upload. other than this IE is best. other browsers also available like UC browser, opera mini beta, maxthon, surfy... use as you want.
with W10 microsoft working on new IE12.. I think it will solve all your problems.
8- you can share multiple photos in WhatsApp. update your WhatsApp.
9- official facebook App has photo uploading issue... hope facebook team fix it soon.
10- as I told Email app lacks sharing options. microsoft definitely fix it with W10.
in my opinion nothing is perfect in this world... OS development takes years of hard work.. so we can't get fully backed os.. you used android 2.2 froyo but android won't think 2.2 is matured and they still working on updates 2.2 to 5(lollipop)...
In school you cannot get admission directly in last year in graduation. you need to start from 1st standard n so on... same concept applies on all other things as well..
Microsoft still working on future updates of WP to add new features.
new Office app aka gemini coming to W10, new internet explorer 12 is coming, mkv video playback support coming in w10..
hope they also working on new email app...
if WP not suitable for you then shift to android. my personal advice for you otherwise wait for fixing update from microsoft.
