AnonD-317456, 24 Oct 2014No i dont think you people are right, If NOKIA starts a new... moreI m not totally agree with you... looks like you don't know anything about past situations.
I know we all loved symbian phones created by nokia.. Nokia invested whole Money in development of symbian for almost 10 years but symbian gonna fail in world matket. Nokia was in total bankrupt stage after symbian failure.

then stephan elop takes CEO post and adopt WP os made by microsoft. why???
at that time stephan elop had 3 choices.
1- adopt new WP by microsoft,
              2- adoption of google android,
3- go with own invested meego os
but he select WP os because android market is too crowded. in android world their are already various big giants like samsung, sony, htc n much more but in reality only samsung gaining real profit but all others are still suffering.. you know sony n htc n few others are way ahead of samsung in quality but still they are suffer very badly. so what we can expect from nokia in this crowded android market. nokia needs too much years to achieve #1 position by beating others.. which is very serious case..

so stephen elop choose microsoft wp os over android n created 3rd ecosystem where nokia is king.. there are already too many OEMs who made android phones then why we want another hangy android phone from nokia.. Nokia not interested to keep in control of google n because of this reason nokia adopt microsoft.

about Nokia.. they don't have right to make other os phones until the end of 2016 after selling ther phone division. n it is not easy to make comeback with fresh because whol phond technology of nokia is bought by nokia now with all petents n all nokia phone division employees are now employees of microsoft...

every ecosystem needs time to grow n catch market. android as well suffered very badly before 2010.. worse than current situation of wp.. but they never stops development of android n now android is king.. if android can service then why not wp... microsoft knows this n because of this reason microsoft continuously developing WP os even after bad sells n huge criticism.
wp os has very bright future because it is a very advanced os.. microsoft current focus is only on w10 unified os which boost developers mind.

all oems knows market situations can be change any time so all OEMs already partnered with microsoft.

htc itself try to sell company last year n sony sold their computer division to focus on mobile division. samsung also faced 50-60% lost in last two quarters.

samsung working on Tizen os as backup plan n sony internally working on webos.. so all these things shows android market not that much safe now days.. everyone finding alternatives now.
nokia takes this move sooner than after.. I know Nokia brand matters too much but now time comes to move on.. Nokia is still alive n microsoft not owned Nokia brand name..
so just leave it n move on..

They cannot say in public that they are going to stop support for nokia lumia devices imagine the hue and cry all over the world.
They stop it slowly in next 6 months or so,now going forward expect minimal support for your device .new microsoft lumia will get all support for years with all updates and new wp10 none of which are coming to nokia lumia devices

all nokia lumia devices are dead end now as microsoft will now release its own brand name devices.
After sometime they will stop support for all old lumia devices except some flagship and few recent launched phones.
so it is wise to go for newer microsoft lumia devices as nokia lumia is dead.
1st microsoft lumia device will be out by mid of next month.
