Mostly you keep in 2G mode only by always keeping OFF 3G... This will also help you in good battery backup, and also improve calling because our mobile companies are not yet giving best services to us. 3G uses a wider frequency band(1800mhz,2100mhz),2G uses narrow frequency band(800mhz,900mhz). when the frequency band is narrow(800mhz,900mhz) the range of it is always much more,so we get signals almost everywhere.3G gives higher throughput but shorter signal range,2G gives lower throughput but much more higher signal range.

noknok, 23 Oct 2014many features missing in 730 compared to previous generatio... moreIf you don't like, don't buy problem solved, advantages of Lumia 730, best screen under 30k, you can check it with any phone under 30k, oled with Nokia clear black and gorilla glass 3 is awesome, best rear camera at 15k, and best front camera under 40k,4.7 inch HD screen, light weight considering even size, only 130gm, and also thin at 8.7mm, good battery, those who are getting bad battery doesn't know how to use windows phone, they are new users, snapdragon 400 with 1.2 GHz cpu,adreno 305 gpu and 1gb ram,8gb internal and 128 Gb expandable, even this doesn't seems upgrade to you, it's your problem

First keep your brightness settings to 20% , keep it very low...then go to battery saver, swipe the screen left, you will see all the apps. Just stop all the apps RUNNING IN BACKGROUND one by one. By doing this you will get good battery backup.

[deleted post]ya previous gen lumia devices are now at very attractive price and are more value for money than these newly launched devices and among android moto g and asus zenfone 5 are best value for money devices.
lumia 730 is not worth 15299 it should be priced around 12999 or less.

exactly i have never seen sO many complaints here.I personally like the fluidity of Windows OS but without stability its all useless.I had 520'525 then 630 but all were having some annoying bugs here and there.Now m using galaxy note 1 which is much better than all these.So my final advice is d'nt rush for windows phones till they find their stability.So better go for old flagships or moto g or X.

many features missing in 730 compared to previous generation lumias
no glance,no camera button,no capacitative screen buttons,no option for 2 tiles in the screen,battery issues ete etc.
wtf???how is this device an upgrade its actually a downgrade
