After the recent update how is the battery back up guys? has it really increased by 3 times? My lumia 710 is giving same backup after update even though the discharge rate has reduced from 240mA to 145mA(diagnostics)

Anonymous, 09 Mar 2012This is the worst Phonei have ever had. I have always been ... moreFor people having battery problems with Lumia 800, dial ##634#, press accept then find the option called 'battery status'. If 'full charge capacity' is lower than 1000 mAh, get a computer, download Zune, install ALL updates into your phone and check the 'battery status' again. If it's showing 1200~1500 mAh, you're good to go, BUT if it's still showing 1000 mAh or even lower, enquire your nearest Nokia store.

          Ouch. Nokia’s not doing so
          great with its new flagship
          Lumia 800, even with a £20m
          advertising budget. According to the
FT , the Lumia 800 didn’t even break
into the top ten phones sold in the
UK, and barely sold more than its
basic “Touch and Type ” phones —
          those feature-class phones with a
          touchscreen and numeric keypad.
I know the Lumia 800 was only Nokia’s
first attempt at a Windows Phone, and
that it has to rebuild brand
          momentum; but it hasn’t exactly
          turned into the company’s saviour
they hoped for, if it’s not even selling
enough to break into the top ten on
launch. For what it’s worth, it’s not a
bad little phone ; it just doesn’t cut
          the mustard against some stiff
competition from the likes of the
iPhone 4S, Galaxy S II, Galaxy Nexus
and the plethora of other Android
          phones. www.gizmodo.co.uk/2011/12/nokia-lumia-800-sales-barely-more-than-basic-touch-and-type-phones/

            Hi,

Are you able to send SMS when 3g is on?

When sending SMS to multiple contacts does it go as an mms instead of SMS?

Flints, 08 Mar 2012Please guys, how can one use a synchronized music from the ... morehi you can't you the music on your phone directly as a ring tone... however you follow the steps listed on this page

              http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/howto/wp7/start/create-ringtones.aspx

if that doesn't help or sounds too tedious just download the free ringtone apps from the marketplace... they have plenty of options... hope this helps...

This phone looks great, but the spec is very worst under the hood, old amoled, no front camera, poor ram, poor battery live, too many restriction, lack of app, over priced. With that price I can buy quad core phone with SUPER AMOLED+ screnn & HD screen, also a bigger ram. My phone, my rules, my way.

                  Battery

                  Standard battery, Li-Ion 1450 mAh (BV-5JW)
                  Stand-by: Up to 265 h (2G) / Up to 335 h (3G)
                  Talk time: Up to 13 h (2G) / Up to 9 h 30 min (3G)
Music play: Up to 55 h

Would just like to say something regarding those "specifications" listed here, and that is that: they are total bulls*it!½. Every single time i charge my lumia 800 phone to full battery capacity, it will only last something like 17 hours.
Which is totally so bloody far away from those "numbers" listed above >:G

(and yes, i got latest updates on it)

AnonD-45553, 08 Mar 2012Hi guys.. Would you suggest me which one to go.. Lumia 800 ... moreForget the N9, the reality is that it's on a dead-end road. Go for the Lumia 800, or wait for the Lumia 900 with bigger screen. Windows is the future, and 7.5 is a great OS, been using it for a month now. I still have the N8 with upgraded Belle OS as the second phone. The more I use WP, the more I find Symbian slow and sluggish. Symbian used to be great, a few things still better than WP, but after using WP for a month, I can say WP beats Symbian as overall package.

This is the worst Phonei have ever had. I have always been a huge fan of Nokia phones but this is just terrible. My main problems is the battery life. Constantly having to charge the phone. If battery dies it takes super human effort to re charge and then turn back on. Phone screen goes blank when making calls so can't hang up. Wish I hadn't been upside by phone shop. Very unhappy user
