It's a great phone. Easy and fast. GUI is on its own class, but inside it's pretty iphone-ish. If you like iphone, you should like this. Some early models had battery issues. Mine doesnt have, battery life seems to be pretty average. Today, i've been 10 hours unplugged, Made a few short phone calls, few brief moments on the internet and browsing the phone a tad and i have 81% left.
It's a real shame really if this phone won't be popular. I bought it for 429 euros and it is very comparative to iPhone4 in every way IMO. (But this is more stylish)

I used lumia 800, its looking very nice, features are good, but i had some problems for software, battery backup is very bad, sensor problem, call did not end,
ringtone volume is very low, some time totaly restart. so more and more problems for my mobile, so i return the shop and they will send through nokia care with in two days use.
so, before buy this model analyse the user and choose this model.
But i used the samsund galaxy s its very great and
easy to handling . Its compare to nokia, samsung all models are better than nokia.

Amazing phone guys . This is the first phone which is not buffering when play a video from youtube, IE9 browser is awsome.Amazing socialnetworking integrated in contacts I love this feature. Touch is smooth. Also Maps and Navigation is free and the backup from skydrive enabling us to store as may files as we like is superb.Thank you Nokia and Windows for making such a fantastic device.

g, 27 Dec 2011i've jst purchased my new nokia lumia 800 gsm, its great an... moreexactly, great phone but you can use it maximum 3-4 hours with the battery fully charged!!! I wont recommend this to anyone unless the battery life is increased 5 times. which is not going to happen. I charging 3 times a day now!!

Lumia 800 has 16 Gb Internal Memory + SkyDrive where u can upload any file and its 32 Gb ... also the front Cam ( Its not that Huge problem ) i'm not walkin everyday in streets and see people holding their mobile and using Video Calls .. and so whats the big deal in Using ZUNE (U're not transferring every minute files from your PC and Vice-Versa and for the Core Duo ( It has 1.4 Ghz processor )... Its still pretty phone with its Price and specifications !! Not enough reasons guys for not Buying this NEW Windows 7 PHONE ;) Finally we have different Home Screen and software than ANDROID & IPHONE ;)

I used Nokia Xpress Music 5800 and nw im using Nokia N8..The features that are included in Nokia N8 are superb..I didnt buy the Lumia 800,but i saw the Demo in Nokia Priority..Really Nokia Lumia 800 is great in it looks,I didnt knw much abt the windows mobile OS...The screen resolution was awesome and it sleek and slim in design,improved maps..But im very much dissapointed wt its Technical Specifications,i heard tht Lumia 800 doesnt have a Bluetooth ididnt checked that,I think Nokia is aimed to improve its Brand Value..Even Nokia N8 is better when compared wt the tech specs..

Why do people start bashing about hardware single core that Nokia didnt brought dual core already u think they dont know about market. if u guys are smart enough u should know first that WP7.5 dont support features=dual-core/NFC/ and i think extra mem slot too so its not nokia fault not to put these stuff in it although they missed FFC they already declared in an old post back in november the and wp8 will unlock all features missing in WP7.5

Manufacturers such as Samsung laugh for nothing, since consumers spent all their money with something useless as dual core processors in a mobile. Most part of people blaming Windows Phone for "lack of multicore support" never ever used Mango. The Nokia Lumia 800 is so much faster than my Android dual core Motorola Atrix... People like to talk about things they simple don't understand and prejudge as truth.

why on earth are people so obsessed with dual core processor,if os is properly optimised there is no need for dual cores,also there is no practical use of dual core atleast now,there are no apps asking for multithreading.
