How could Nokia make the switch to Windows,as they use to produce phones that made it so simple to be able to transfer Music an photos between other peoples phones an pcs,Bluetooth now useless on the Lumia 800,an the Screen taken up so much space because of the stupid buttons on Windows phones, you to download themes for my Nokia phones but not with this phone,Galaxy S2 worth more value than this phone,an if you best settings on this phone batterylife can last 2-3 days

Got a problem with Lumia, this is my second handset from Orange now the phone has serious issues

              Handset one
extremely poor battery, not detecting when charger is in, screen freezing eventually the phone shut down and never restarted.

              Handset two

Again diabolical battery life, when I send a MMS the phone reboots, still freezes and worst of all will randomly drop calls.

For such an expensive handset these issues should not happen.

Orange however have put my status back to upgrade as I literally told them to stick this phone, and I will be choosing another phone when there is one that tickles my fancy, but I will be using my old trusty Blackberry Storm 2 from now on never its never let me down.

I used to be a Nokia fan, since the NGAGE, N95 times. But now Nokia is really behind the times. Lumia has nice design but is no match for Samsung Galaxy SII and iPhone. BTW: keen to go on WP7 but still no good phone around after so much time of WP7 in the market. Minimum requirements are that of GSII plus 64 or 128GB space, 4.5'' screen, 2500mAh battery. If Nokia is the manufacturer so much the better!!!

Mobilemaster, 30 Nov 2011Please compare this phone with the Samsung Galaxy S2, or wi... moreYou only need high-enough specifications to be able to achieve the desired user experience and performance.

Both WP7 and iOS seem to be able to acheive more with lower specs - and so, to these OS'es - Ghz, RAM, Cores - isn't as important.

Not saying this device is perfect though.. I'm looking forward to the Lumia 900 - it seems to be more a high-end device, whereas this seems to be closer to mid-range.

People, remember that this is Nokia's first attempt on its new OS. If Nokia was able to to come up with such a great device as the Nokia Lumia, imagine the succeeding phones that will come out of Nokia's turf. I'm uber excited..

Nokia - old name and no more! i`m not against Nokia but at this time smart phones like iPhone/Samsung GS are the best, just saying Nokia feel too old! No compare between Nokia and real smart phones (iPhone/Samsung) About my self, will be totally no way to think about Nokia from now on!

Anonymous, 29 Nov 2011is that why its out selling every android phone in Europe? ... moreIt's not outselling every Android device.

jacson, 29 Nov 2011this is a very good thing which is going to lunch nokia....... morePlease compare this phone with the Samsung Galaxy S2, or with the Galaxy Nexus. I know that this has a great design, but the specs are the most important, and I am talking about specs now. Samsung is already in 2012, and Nokia in 2011.

mobiledocter, 29 Nov 2011u dont,no android is very bad os u cant campere to windows ... moreNo, you're wrong. WP is so limited. NO card slot, no this, not that... :( The UI is so boring, I hate it!! I am not here to bash Nokia! I am here to tell what I saw with my eyes. I hold some WP devices in my hands. I have a bad opinion about the OS, sorry. Meego could save Nokia from death. I had hold a Nokia N9 in my hands, and it looks fantastic! :) I have seen many smart phones with my eyes, and the N9 is just awesome!! :>

shabaz, 29 Nov 2011listen i have been using the nokia 800 lumia for a week now... moreHi! I have seen some Windows Phone devices with my eyes. Honestly, I have a bad opinion about the OS. The Windows Mobile 6.5 looks much cooler than this one. The UI is so BORING! This OS is so limited as well. :( I am NOT here to bash Nokia. I appreciate that they are one of the best in camera phones. I am here to say that the future is not Windows anymore.

[deleted post]WP is highly unsuitable for Philippines, many prends there have high end phones but they use prepaid SIMs and have no means of paying for services, and if they cant put their own MP3 and whatever on their phones then its worthless for them. WP is too expensive to own also for most ppl in high cost countries.

i think Google i the one responsible for the good initial sales of Nokia Lumia. I been saying it a long time, Android has to start working as intended, we cant live with the unstable behavior and all those software bugs, and the worst thing is that Android gets worse with every new version, Google has to STOP the new versions and concentrate on making the exiisting ones stable. Now would be a good time, Rice Scream bandwidth should be worked on untill it works, as it is now even 2.3 is not ready for Beta, its a POS, it should still be in internal Alpha testing at Goggles offices.

The more frequent google launches new android version the more Lumia Nokia will sell. Now i know many Android fans will disagree with me, but this has always been the reason why iPhone sells so well despite of higher price, coz iPhone works, always. I am also an Android user and currently have two high end Android fones and i use them both, but its clear they both have the SAME PROBLEMS despite being from different manufacturers.

Go on Google, you are the best friend of Apple and MS and Nokia. i do not recommend anyone to buy Android phones, but for us who want a phone without restrictions there is no other option, we cant live with the restrictions of WP or iOS, we dont want to pay for everything or organize our life through Apple or Microsoft/Nokia services. I want my own files on my own fone, even if the price i am paying is a highly unstable OS. Android sux so much but der are no options...
