as I always made video call to my children in London from Mumbai.
regular video conference among our family members is common and lively inspite of blank long fone chatting over the sea.

Windows Phone Mango does not support two user mass memories - so if one already have 16GB eMMC built inside the phone, one cannot put a uSD-card slot.
So it is not Nokia's fault that Windows Phone Mango is so unmature OS.

Hi all,
Just got my Lumia for the last 2 days and I LOVE IT. Before you ask I had an iPhone 3gs (stolen) before and were currently windows phone 6 on HTC HD 2 (which I was generally happy with).
Since I got it I managed to :
- create all my email accounts + facebook and linkedIn in 5min top. Fact. No need for apps
- transferred all my contacts from my old phone using bluetooth. That worked a treat.
- Managed to send 20 comments on facebook which I had never done it in 2years before. That is that simple.
what I like is the fact that you can link contacts together (e.g. a contact with his linkedId and facebook profile) and see all interactions with that contact from one place. So too to interact with them. The "people" hub as they call it is superb.
I know there is no front video (there was in my old phone but never used it) and the camera only records in 720px. And it has a "dearth of apps" as the papers call it. However it reminds me of the Macintosh in the 90s. They do had a dearth of apps compared to PC (very few games ,etc...) but that didn't make them any less good.
That's the same with the Lumia and Windows Phone. Market Share is tiny compared to Apple but the look & feel is different and being the small player they have been forced to do things differently. I.e. simple, clever and all integrated. I find it works perfectly.
I am now listening to Nokia music having connected my phone to my stereo. Again, no set-up/apps was required and music selection is good. It's a mix done for you and I chose the classic rock theme and have listened to Pulp, Stairway to Heaven, U2: The Joshua Tree, simon & Garfunkel, currently playing Sweet home alabama.
I think there is a few things that could be improved but I can't really say if it's part of the Apple or Android experience.
I would rate it 4.5 out of 5. Super design, super screen, intuitive navigation and ease of use. In 2 words : it simply works and looks awesome.

..i think Nokia is doing pritty much good. i cant complain but Samsung is on a whole new level son.....Android is the future!!!!!

nokia 800 is awesome n guys ur using a windows phone secondry camera is not required just feel the touch n see how good is the phone n first time nokia came with 1.4ghzproccessor n the compitation will be very awesome n samsung is doing well coz of andriod guys android is getting closed google is stoping coz motorola is purcasing the android again samsung vll cme to bada oprating again nokia vll be no1 brand in the world

Those negative comments about this phone is because most of people don't like Nokia and Microsoft, and imagine who will like Both of them in one. But i like both of them, because Nokia is most experienced mobile phone producer and they choose right way of production by choosing Windows Phone OS

Why not yet release in Asia or middle east i am still waiting for its release in other countries. Nokia has contained its supplies? or they are scared to do mass production before its fame grows

Apple is launching its products all over the world including Asian countries like china, India, myanmar etc..
why Nokia so reluctance even to launch Nokia N9 in those countries where there's lots of demand,
coz window platform lumias will never attract the mass like N9.

Been reading different reviews and i realised many people here havent had the oppurtunity of laying hands on this device and also some are just not liking any thing apart from what they already know.
I want to tell you all some thing from someone who has used every os here...
I live in Germany n I have used the iphone for about 2 n half years..from 3g, 3gs and iphone 4...Then i later changed to Android since almost everyone was using the an iphone. the got me a Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab which i have in my drawer at the moment cos for my tab am still on Froyo since google dont bother giving an update around the globe for thier old phones i guess...
I decided to get me Samsung Omnia 7 and installed the mango update cos i heard alot about it.
Personall test is the omnia beats all this phones so far from fludity to internet browing speed and mind you they all have the same processor..
I work in Saturn so i have access to all the new phone as soon as they are avaliable and i can play with them
Also tried the Nokia Lumia 800 which is definately my next phone but i want to have in cyan colour so am still waiting cos we got the black one... and damn its a really cute piece of device in the hands and a really nice display...
oTo be truthfull it has nothing to do with me saying this cos u thinking am a nokia fan since i havent used a nokia phone for almost 5 years i guess but even the customer like the feel of the phone..
And for speed i have testet it again samsung galaxy s2,Galaxy Note and Htc sensation XE and even the iphone 4s.. it beat the S2 in almost every situation and was almost in pairs with the Note. The only phone that beat him with some micro secs was the iphone 4s but mind u its got a dual core...
Found out something that the android phone tend to look fast when loading just one site but if you want to try a real test against a windows mobile open more tabs on and android phone with site in them then try doing a speed comparism against Lumia 800 with the 4 or 5th wedsite and you will see all android phones in the market at the moment will loss to it....
....no front camera is no big deal for me cos i dont use it
and the form factor is really nokia cos it really feel like you can hurl the phone at someone and still pick it up..that feeling you dnt get from S2 etc or the iphone so having to get your phone broken aint also the case..

Nothing wrong with this phone at all!
Nokia has finally done something brilliant after many years of pain, instead of bashing any product thats not Apple or Samsung, try using it first then bash the Lumia 800.
And in closing...fone, dat and other poor attempts at the english language dont count as a opinion...save the money on a phone and buy a dictionary.
