well well, 02 Nov 2011why ram 512mb why not a 1gb? nokia has not added something... morewhy 512 ram? w7p use only less ram. My laptop use 1Gb of ram it is windows 7, I run face book, bittorrent, avast antiviruse, yahoo messenger, winamp, office adobe reader, plants vs sombie, play movies etc. run on the same time and its only use 800 mb of ram...can your phone use all that apps? 1Gb ram is only a gimmick for a phone.....

7610-E71, 02 Nov 2011Hi friend, In regard to claiming this phone has lugs,, ... moreyou are fooling yourself.

if you want wp. you can choose htc titan or samsung focus s, which have things(ffc, better display, larger batter, 1gb ram, gpu and etc) that nokia lumia 800 lacks at same or even cheaper price.

we, customers, deserve a better phone with more future-proof specs, especially when you pay handsome money for it.

Anonymous, 02 Nov 2011TOO MANY LAGS: No front facing cam for photo call No hot ... moreHi friend,

In regard to claiming this phone has lugs,,

-since when was video call any functional? I honestly can't remember if I ever saw a single person video calling,,
                - you get a whole 16 gb of integrated memory, faster anyway than an additional sd card and it's not enough? at the time when most of the majority of today's smartphone don't have even 8 gb on them?
                - 512 mb is awesome for a phone foccusing about social connectivity, internet, music,, if you wnat to play games galaxy s is still far behind from the first gen of xbox
                - bad graphics card? see previous point

Nokia will offer better specs soon my friend, don't worry,, they don't wanna mess around on the beginning,, careful steady steps are much better than rushing things and forgetting how an antenna should be placed on a phone(did I hear i,,,phone?)

                cheers

I love Nokia. I am a fan since I got my first mobile 7 years ago and I always thought Nokia is the true leader on the industry. This phone is stunning. It's difficult to find another one with such a great combination of design and software. It's gonna be selling like slices of pizza once released. Remember that;)

Nokia Lumia has WiFi and WP 7.5. Windows Phone 7.5 supports Wifi Hotspot. So, Nokia Lumia supports Wifi Hotspot.

                      This one also support Xvid/Avi.

                      Look here :
                      http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff462087%28VS.92%29.aspx

Just look at the design. Sleek, catchy, and clear display.
Anyone with this will not be afraid of going anywhere and using it in public. They will be proud.

The clear display alone, even under sunlight, is showing its prowess. Reading books, articles in internet, and doing office, especially spread sheet (MS Excel) on this will be comfortable.
I predict the next update of office will be far more powerful than any mobile office on any other smart phones. Less need to worry about task, job, whatever.

N9 isn't a "failure" the OS is very novative, and the design is absolutely amazing, by far the most beautiful device I've ever seen.
Things that I regret is that the Lumia hasn't got the same hardware, N9 has more RAM, a full touchsreen, and a front camera. So it seems that we can expect a better phone than the Lumia 800, but probably without this delightful design.
                        What a dilemmma

What's the use, if there is no camera on front for a video call. Nokia phones has particular things always missing. IF you want a certain feature, buy another model, marketing strategy but, lame

nabilfullmetal, 02 Nov 2011n8 is batter than n9.totally agree. at least n8 has a powerful camera(almost near slr) that beats hell out of every phones around that time, but N9...is just a failure.

jassmine, 02 Nov 2011Is there no secondary cemera.. what about vedio chat??yes, no secondary camera = no video calling

i don't recommend any window phone, but you are desperate to have WP 7.5 and video calling on the same device then you better wait for samsung focus s, which DOES have a secondary camera.(hd7 doesn't have a second camera either)

or if you don't like samsung, wait for other manufacturers make some serious WP...

It's a nice phone, but for 400€ with taxes not 420 without, lacks so many important features

I'm using 2 latest Android phones. Android is good but not running that smooth.

This Nokia lumia 800 is such a beautiful phone. Running on Windows OS got to be very smooth and responsive.

Will definately buy at least one to replace one of my Android phone.

                                        why ram 512mb why not a 1gb?
nokia has not added something new here only the o.s they have supported can take the credits ,just wondering why they are taking in consideration the entertainment and the multimedia issues???
or its only kind of a policy they are drawing!!!
