Well the 800 is a good phone but not a great one!
Most likely rushed to get WP7 out onto the market.
Nokia should have at least matched the camera capabilities of N8 (which I currently own).
I would suspect the next WP7 will be the daddy, but for the likes of me that will be too little too late!
Personally fed up waiting for updates, firstly Anna and now waiting for the already released Belle, which has been out 2 months.
I am about to buy my very first iPhone 4S!!!

The word ‘Lumia’ is the term coined by 20th Century Artist Thomas Wilfred to refer to art created from light.

Yeah, with this price range, on spec sheet we should see dual-core, 1gb+ ram, 1080p, etc.
But there are things that u can't see on spec sheet, and they are QUALITY, DURABILITY, LONGEVITY. Something that past Nokia devices proved it.
I'm pretty a conservative person. Once I found something that i really like, i'll keep it as long as i can. Right now i'm still using n95, and this is it, after a long wait and observing to find the 'one'. Finally I found it. It's either lumia 800 or n9. Just need a little more research between these two.
Opinions from u guys also will be helpful. Lumia 800 or n9?
p/s: I don't care about front facing camera since i don't really use it on my n95 and it seems i'm not really going to need it in the upcoming years. And i don't mind a dead meego without further updates. And don't offer me other devices because trust me, I've done my research.

All nokia smartphones will be protected by gorilla glasses. So dey do not have to make it specific everytime dey put up a new phone. This Beautiful Beast also got it.

16 gb is not enough. It should be at least 32 gb or 64 gb. WP7 sucks on the microsd part. They should have allowed microsd card swap in the OS.

Played with a functional unit this weekend, and thought the phone looked great. The only issues I had a problem with was how very quiet the loudspeaker was (it's much quieter than the N8, which in turn is much quieter than the N96).
Still not convinced with WP7, there are far too many restrictions...Zune for music management for example.

Dear Nokia, even I am use your phones since 1998 year, but now definitely not buy new one until you not integrate same quality photo camera lens as got Nokia N8.
Also don't forget add second camera and card slot.
By the way I am very sad with this Nokia Lumia 800 when compare with advanced any Android phones missing a lot extra features what you can see clearly.
Do something, please.

It looks like Nokia designers went to sleep after E71. Nokia designers should know that their phones are no longer the object of desirability, no matter how functional they might be. Consumers need samsung functionality and thinness combined with iphone and ipads applications, encase these in metal and the market will be yours

Qusai Mukhtar, 30 Oct 2011I just came back from London, and yes I attended the Nokia ... moreI am totally underwhelmed by this, here is why.
The Nokia N9 is a work of art, this is Nokia saying if you want an Iphone this is it. seen the video on you tube 99% brill. what I hate is no expansion and micro Sim?
But no expansion. Nokia make more phones with e xpansion than without. If the N9 had expansion my phone.
Meego it has Aalien Dalvik, I don't care as long at it has NOKIA written on it
So Sea Ray what a let down, Iphone WITHOUT a 2ND camera the N9 with lees features
If you don't believe me then see this which one has the beter specc it ain't Nokia
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4240&idPhone2=4027
I will wait until Nokia stop making Iphones

AnonD-16342, 31 Oct 2011The problem for this phone is it is not compelling enough f... moregive me a break. N8? The phone equipped a single core cpu which is clocked less then 1ghz(680mhz) and sub standard battery(1200mha)?...that one was also for hardcore symbian fanboys.
however N9 isn't even symbian. No hardcore fans.
Now, as you know, the spec of N9 is pretty pathetic i wonder who gonna buy this anyway...expect nokia fanboys.

The problem for this phone is it is not compelling enough for people to guy and buy one. I am a huuge fan of Nokia and own an N8 presently. I think they should have a device that blows the competition away, like they did for the N8.
You currently dont find another phone in the market with a more complete set of features than the N8.
