this is not good. why didnt they just soup up the N8. they had the best camera phone on the market. if they had put a 1 ghz cpu and android on the N8. the world would be a seriously different place. even the iphone would not be to compete. as it is they have gone a step backwards.

I do hate this modern trend of boring miserable slabs and cannot wait till we revert back to good old button smartfones and Clamshells.

AnonD-1434, 27 Oct 2011taking of nokia coming with front face camera. how much use... morejust for your info, microsoft owns skype and it has plans for its usage. and who knew andriod 1.6 or andriod 2.0 has any front facing support or skype for its disposal. See it takes time to get things done, technology is moving at a pace doesnt makes u buy every other mobile phone. Pollo or Tango updates might have skype integrated, and Nokia will have front facing for sure, every Nokia smartphone has a front facing camera, why wont their WP wont hve it

Since the Window phone is a late comer, I doubt the operation of it - unless there comes some positive, and of course, the price matter. 16G is not enough for today's standard, why not intall a card slot?

CG, 26 Oct 2011I'm a little curious, why no card slot or dual core process... morejust to answer alot of stupid yet funny questions that ave been coming along in the comments.
                          1. take it dual core or single core, it never would make you happy as quad core is fast arriving, now it depends on the OS you are using, a dual core for Belle is useless, knowing that it never used the resources for that, a dual core for WP is lets say needed but it will come up with support and software upgrades, and WP again uses less memory and processing power so a single core is enuf for it to operate on.
                          2. front facing camera is bad not to be seen but that should not bother everyone as i am pretty sure that you dont use skype of 3g to call every other person earth , so wait as front facing cameras arnt far away from nokia, a portfolio would emerge in 2012.
                          3. 16gb is alot, how many songs you listen everyday, or if en enterprise user, how many emails are there in your account, even sharepoint has cloud services and 25gb is also there with skydrive. its a phone, its not a netbook.
                          4. Andriod is a eye candy OS, and is geeky. knowing that i can bet you wont have more then 50 appilcations and how many you use daily. so try being a bit practical. and realistic on what you expect from the Manufacturers. Tomorrow u might end saying SIRI on IP4S is a security threat, andriod is better it gives face recognition, then Win 8 has another mode to unlock.

Hope i answered some stupid questions

Nokia & Windows disappoint big time. No novelty in both. I was a big fan of Nokia for years. But they seem to have lost there way. And 7.5 mango seems far behind android. especially with 4.0 coming in. 7.5 just cant beat 4.0 in performance. I think Nokia did a mistake of collaborating with windows. But i still wish luck to Nokia. For old time sake.

If this mobile phone would have had secondary camera at least 2 mpx for video video conferences HDMI and at least 1650 mah and Super Amoled Plus at screan at battery would be all very nice.

I don't quite get why posts in many blogs are about one phone manufacturer or another making "mistakes".

As consumers, we're the only ones who benefit from manufacturer's plans. I currently use Nokia, and I am thrilled with the prospect that by next year, I'll have ios/iphone5/6, Android 4 or 5, windows phone 8 and symbian Belle or Cindy or whatever comes up to choose from. It gives me ultimate power as a consumer to know I have all these choices instead of just one platform. I'm just gonna pick what works best for me when I'm ready for a new phone instead of swearing allegiance to a partucular phone manufacturer. I hope they continue to innovate and improvise for us, the end user.

Long live Nokia's "mistake" of going with Windows phone.

I thought Nokia want to complete..I don't know if they going to make it. No front facing camera, and no card slot. Well, say good by to Nokia..why would they stop something which made them the best? That CEO want Nokia to fail, maybe that is why Microsoft fired him..then he went back running to Microsoft..let's say..power to Windows
