Got my lumina 820 day before yesterday. It's a refreshing change from android if one chooses features over functionality. Lack of resolution or ability to view office files seems to be just a marketing gimmick to keep it below lumina 920 as I have found it to be rather better looking and better to handle for one hand operation. However I have encountered one problem as my start page tiles are not showing the colour selected but showing just the background dark. Please help to to solve this problem and get the colours of the tiles back. Also my downloaded application book my show is also not working beyond first screenshot. Thanks

Hi friends today i got gud battery backup in my phone every 30 minutes and i am checked battery saver iam surprised it showing battery remaining 1 day and 21 minutes.now iam very happy....

best screen clarity sd support 64 gb no hanging problem like all android phone be hang. super fast interface best phone in it prise. love nokia it prise 26000 go any nokia store and 1 sim cutter free and 2 gb every month 3g or 2g data free first 3 month go nokia best

Weak battery backup for net browsing is the main issue. otherwise, this phone processor speed is quite superior to many others mid range

Hi friends i am using this Phone just 3 days,,,great performance gud camera clarity gud display clarity gud sound in phone speaker and headset and keyboard,,but one main reason of this phone battery backup is very low,just getting with out net usage 14 hour,,using. Net and calling it's getting 7 hour battery back
up.otherwise the phone. Will be ok..

I am going to be straight forward and totally frank !
I have a Blackberry Bold 3, Samsung Glaxy Note 1 and now I just purchsed a Nokia Lumia 820 5 days ago.
I love the BB for a lot of stuff, I love the note for some other spefifications(only for frequent texting I find it too big) and this time I went for the Lumia because I thought it would have been a great bet.
I am disappointed, FLAT !
Why?
What is a phone if it freezes every other time? How can Nokia even agree to release a phone in the market that is not compatible with all memory cards? They know about the competition that is in the market, people shouting their heads off, Iphone Android this that and they deliver a phone that hangs up at least 7 - 8 times on moderate use.
How is it even a reliable phone?
I love the look of the phone, I love the live tiles, I love everything about it, except, 8 GB internal memory, which is too little and then the phone does not accept all memory cards and now it freezes like a crap handset!
I dont know what is the issue, hardware, software. But I cannot believe that I have been given a defective set among so many others listed below !

I purchase the phone and it hangs up within one hour of use ! what crap? I have deleted half the apps on the phone and I just cannot figure out what is causing the issue. I took off the memory card, turned off NFS, Bluetooth, internet pack and used it. and blank. FROZEN ! I text, it freezes, on whatsapp it freezes, on facebook, frozen, changing settings, frozen, on a call, frozen, viewing pictures, frozen. so randomly it freezes. Cant even figure out the cause.
I dont want to give up on the phone, I am going back to the store and going to get it fixed no matter what, or I am just gonna go back to android !

AnonD-103792, 24 Jan 2013If you want to prolong the battery use 2G network only (und... moreI mainly disable the sound for "other notification" because I receive constant Whatsapp messages - more like chatting, nothing important. I just pint the whatsapp tile and it will show unread message.
Because the Windows version of Whatsapp lacks feature, I have to do this to save power ie Android version can customize sound notification and I usually disable it as well.
