Look... I really do not expect Nokia Lumia 820 to make me a cup of coffee but when the phone can not display the time on lock mode its really hard to check the time. No one feels like unlocking a phone 2am to see what the time is. I contact Nokia Customer support and they told me today there is no such time display for the Lumia 820. For a $450,00 phone! I don't think Nokia have thought this through that well. I regret buying a Nokia Lumia for more problems as well

AnonD-9602, 08 Jan 2013would anyone plz tell me that android OS is better or the w... moreTo those posing the Android vs. WP8 question:

WP8 is a closed eco system like iOS. It cannot be customized beyond a minimal degree. Also, the App eco system is the poorest compared to Android and iOS. That said, I find my Lumia 820 a nice change from Android and iOS with its Live Tiles, and its very smooth OS that I havent experienced lags with, and quite frankly, if you compare the keyboard to iOS, i find it better and with pretty "intelligent" word prediction..like if I type in "Happy" at the beginning of a message, it will bring up "birthday"in the prediction bar that you can just click on to enter. The cons is that although there are some good apps for WP, it has a long way to go to reach Android, and some developers like Google have flat out said they will not develop apps for WP.

If you want a lot of customization, plenty of Apps and a powerful OS with which you can do pretty much everything but with occasional hangs and lags, go with Android, if you want a stable OS with lots of high quality Apps but with some pretty bad restrictions on the OS functionality, go with iOS, if you want something different and not just apps, go with WP8. I use all three and dont regret using WP8 as my primary phone.

AnonD-9602, 08 Jan 2013would anyone plz tell me that android OS is better or the w... more There’s no the best or the poor OS, as both Android and Window OS has totally different tastes and has its own merits/ demerits.
Better buy a Tablet from One OS and a smartphone from the other OS to enjoyed the advantage of maximum applications as I recently did.

I recently purchased a WP8 phone and it was the biggest mistake I have ever made! It is dire, it is awful, it is... indescribably BAD.
I didn't like the keyboard that came with it. I think I will change it like I can on my Galaxy S3.. No you won't say MS, you will keep the one we give you and like it. We won't allow you to change it.
I didn't like the unfriendly messaging application. I think I will change it like I can on my Galaxy S3... No you won't say MS, you will keep the one we give you and like it. We won't allow you to change it.
That is the problem, you can't customise it to suit the way you want it, you HAVE to keep what MS think you want; and what they give you is AWFUL.
The phone I purchased, a Nokia Lumia 820, is now at the top of my cupboard gathering dust; it will never be used.

I'm sorry, my mistake..my pre installed app count was about 30 but I have an additional 80 apps and 7 games installed for a total app count of 117. so as you can see, with about 1.4 GB still left in internal memory, space for app installation is adequate, but will probably max out at around 100.

regarding fm radio, rumor is that the hardware is available and that it will be activated with a future software update.
