AnonD-9740, 06 Sep 2012I used to be a Nokia fan for a long time but, Windows phone... moreCome on kid, don't be that dramatic! Nokia is far from dead, it isn't #1 manufacturer anymore but being 2nd place is nothing to worry about. Nokia chose Windows because their CEO is a moron who used to work for Microsoft, it's obvious he wouldn't let Nokia choose anything over WP. Anyway I feel sorry for Meego and even more for Symbian as it was the pioneer of Smartphones, I still keep my Symbian phone but I'm also aware I've to move on and my phone won't be fresh forever (it's actually a bit outdated) and I don't want what everyone has (Android or iOS) so I may give WP8 a chance. They've just corrected every issue I found with WP7.5 and now I'll be able to send/receive files via Bluetooth, use micro SD cards and compability with WP7 apps so good work from Nokia and I think it's a step in the right way.
BTW: Most Nokia customers choose Nokia because they've always been different, they never follow what others do and I think that's right. They're recovering

I know it has dual core Krait processor and WP8, but if no radio, no gorilla glass, heavier, and if its priced higher than 800, I will buy 800 instead of 820.

dr.tim, 05 Sep 2012by the looks of these lumia specs, i would swear Nokia is b... moreYou must be joking - these new mobiles are great and WP8 is one reason why even Samsung has already announced WP8 devices to protect their market share. Android will be the looser for sure. I like LTE freqencies that will also work in Australia. Well done Nokia indeed.

Well first of all, the Win phones are the fastest OUT THERE. It's proven before when a Single core Processor and 512 RAM performs faster than a Droid with a dual core processor 1gb ram and everything else they can throw at it. IF YOU CANT UNDERSTAND THIS IT IS CALLED "OPTIMIZATION" MY FRIENDS.

And now that it is optimized for Dual Cores w/ a promise that "it is MUCH faster than competitors w/ quad cores out there". Well if that's the case then that's all we need. A BLAZING FAST PHONE THAT DOESN'T LAGGG, SECURED (UNLIKE THE COMPETITOR), OPTIMIZED WITH EVERY APP, "ORIGINALLL!!!" (UNLIKE THE COMPETITOR), INNOVATIVE AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT'S GOOD OUT THERE. Simple minds cannot comprehend the importance of OPTIMIZATION on a system. Yeah you could put every top of the line hardware in a phone but if its not optimized, tsk3. Full performance can never be achieved.

It's funny how some say "no Quadcore=bad". They know nothing about difference of Krait and Cortex-A9. Example:

When HTC One X and S came, S that had two kraits was faster. It had exactly the same chip as these Nokias have, and it ended up to be faster than One X with four Cortex cores.

And next you say SGS3 would be better example. It has also cortex cores and OneS outnumbers it quite a few times though it has heavy Sense UI.

The truth is this chip is the fastest until its quad version rolls out with LG Optimus G or some chinese cheap phones. So stop complaining about number of cores inside. All those quadcores are same as two last years dualcores put together, and new duals beat them.

When it comes to this phone, it looks quite good(though I prefer Nokias "pillow" style), but WP still doesn't.

Funny thing ppl jus talk abt hardware..if you understand software development you would be actually extremely happy that directx has been incorporated into the phone software..so better graphics better performance and happier users..and check out the screen too its state of the art

Some people have got no Broad Minds !!
They just want AMOLED Screens, 2GB Ram , Quadcore Processor even when it dosnt effect their Use..

Windows phone 8 has a appropriate screen size that one can easily hold in one hand. not like NOTE 2 .

WP 8 has Pure View Technology which leaves behined any technology which is currently running in the market

WP 8 has Motion HD + which is missing in all phones even S3

WP 8 has 1.5 Ghz Dual core s4 Processor which is more than sufficent to run a phone .

Why people needs to shell out money for Quadcore Processor when u knw ur phone dosnt need it ??

Nokia Windows PHone 8 has WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY which no phone has it right now.

AT THE END... NOKIA LUMIA 920 and 820 has colors and SEXYYYYY LOOKS .. !! NO OTHER PHONE CAN BEAT NOKIA WITH ITS POINT OF DIFFERENTIATION !

                                  NOKIA YOU ROCKKKKK !!

by the looks of these lumia specs, i would swear Nokia is being outclassed and outshined by the Samsung Androids. Never mind being unique but truth be told, it is a futile race.
