I know its ... moreIt's not SIM unlocked, it's global unlocked, so apparently if you take it outside of the US you can use a different provider, but not unless you leave the united states. They will unlock it if your account is in good standing after 60 days.

I really love it. My old cell was Blackberry 8320 and I have it for years. It never give up on me even after hundres droppings. I was 100% sure that will get BB Bold. Unfortunaly Verizon doesn't have it in NY stores. Went for Samsung the last model, fancy and shiny. Didn't fall for it. Then I tried Nokia 822 and instantly loved. This phone is easy, advanced and fast. Real engineering creation. I will defintly recommending it. Only downward is the battery life. It has to be charged more often. That is my opinion.

Hello I need to know some info regarding 822..
I know its better than 820 and its unlocked from Verizon, anybody got this piece in india? have any problems in getting updates? I mean unlocked phones may not get updates sometimes! those who bought the phone please share their experiences in installing updates and about the phone. and its safe to buy this on ebay? in ebay its available for 18k-19k.. expecting answers thnx :)

Large screen and ease of use are big pluses. However the sound is not good as some people cannot hear caller and caller can not hear person called. The sound can be raised to a level of 10 for calls yet you can have a setting of 30 or 3 times highe for the ring tone sound.
