I have been using and enjoying this device for exactly one month and one day since i purchased it (January 16) and it never fails to impress me. Absolutely no issues (hang/lag, restart, heating issues, etc.) Butter-smooth OS. Great display, great battery (up to two days of moderate usage. Would last a day even if a play games while connected to a wifi); sleek, gorgeous and solid phone design, great camera. Great phone experience! Forget about the apps gap as the main issue for every app that i need are in the stores. The only apps that are missing are the local apps in particular country (e.g. bank apps, etc.)
My only minor gripes is that (1) MixRadio won't work but it is because it is not supported in my country (Philippines), and (2) As i said, this is a sleek one device. It may prone to slip on your hand so i recommend to buy a protective casing prevent damage (dents/scratches). A day before it reached one month of using it, i accidentally drop it. It slip on my hand and fell hard on the cemented ground. Aside from the small dent on the top left corner and lower right corner in the aluminum frame, everything's fine and functioning. Screen has no scratches or damage whatsoever. Really a tough one i think. But everytime i see those tiny dent it make my eyes sore tsk.
Overall it is a good solid device that i could recommend to everyone. Just a little background, this is my first windows phone device. And after using a windows phone, i love the using it and i won't switch back to any OS platform. As Ramu stated, this is a future-proof windows phone device as it will be updated to Windows 10 you could enjoy using this for at least 2 years.
Give it a try fellas. Go to any store selling it and i guarantee you that you will gonna like this.

So for windows it is not mid range, its high end. No restart or nothing I am using since past 2 months without a single issue.

Rear camera no doubt that 830 has excellent one
when compared to 730. Front camera normally
used for video call streaming and selfie and for
both 830 is just excellent. Only thing while taking
selfie use the lumia selfie app for best result.
Apart from the above would like to say this once
again. 830 is a very solid phone with metal
casing around. No problems at all with IPS
display. This phone is future ready and will get
windows 10 and others in future and easily can be
used for 2 years at least. Its really value for
money and great phone with excellent speake

M&M, 08 Feb 2015L930 or L830 plz help which one?The 930 is the flagship so based on specs it's better. If you want to save money, go for the 830. It's a good phone.

Lumia camera opens but there is no rich capture mode. after taking the pic there is no such hdr editing too. There is no update recent days for lumia camera, may be things are different in India right now

Are you talking about denim OS or denim firmware update ?? as it is the 830 in india comes with denim OS version, but I am talking about a denim firmware update where lumia camera 5 is included with the features like rich capture more etc.,
