This is not really a review but merely a quick observation.

It is well-known fact that when comparing SoCs of Lumia 930 and Lumia 830, it's obvious that L930 is more powerful. I've read and watched some reviews - especially on camera performance - and I wanted to know does L830 camera really perform significantly worse than L930, so I went to my local store to try them out.

I tested their Nokia Camera apps side by side and this is what I observed:
- On L830 the app opened only a second later than on L930
- L830 and L930 both focus very quickly, though L930 is snappier from shutter to saving the image. But I must say L830 wasn't TOO slow in my opinion, it was just a bit slower.
- Re-opening the app from the background was equally quick on both devices.

I have to say that I really like the look and feel of L830 but only thing keeping me away from it is the price. It costs 369€ Here in Finland, and if you put 30€ more you'll get L930. If L830 cost less than 300€ it would be more reasonable purchase. Not just yet. On L930, on the other hand, the price is actually very good considering the specs but the relatively poor battery life is a big minus for me.

I hope someone finds this a little helpful if one wanted to know about these devices' camera performance. :)

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2014first i was eagerly waiting for the price tag on release. b... moreu r r8, L830 is much overpriced..if we compare it with L730, L730 has better screen display, better front cam, better batter backup. Even the price of L730 is almost haif of L830. I think the price of L830 is a serious issue, in this price u have found too many better phone than L830. The price of L830 should be in 20k-22k, not more than that.

first i was eagerly waiting for the price tag on release. but now waiting for the price drop. it is overpriced by minimum 6k. competitively 735 is is very similar to this. but its price is not so costly. i want to buy this master piece but not "at any cost". it is a perfect all-rounder. bure not the price. hope Microsoft will cut the price very soon.

I just tried the tap tap app on my nexus and it performs pretty crappily and you need to watch videos to learn it. Also you have to tap on the proximity sensor wheareas on Nokia you can tap anywhere on the screen.

Nokia gives double tap out of the box..no crap apps..
I have been using double tap for almost two years on my lumia 620.So I guess Nokia brought it before Lg did.
