HWHOG, 11 Apr 2012I love the people who just stare at the HW specs of the pho... moreyou have to be either blind or daft saying androind dont run smooth on quad cores. i have 3 android devices from sony that run smooth with a single core cpu. and its not only the os that the smoothness depends on but also the ui by the manufacturer.

Got this phone on a 2 year contract. The phone functions beautifully. Runs smooth with no hiccups and runs extremely fast. Even though this phone doesn't have a dual core processor it runs better than one. The OS is great and functions the best of any smartphone OS. The LTE speeds are really fast and downloading a video was basically instant. The Carl Zeiss optics are very clear and give great photos. This is probably the best smartphone I have ever had or used. Even more so than the iPhone and android phones. Once the app marketplace gets bigger the windows phone 7 market share will increase. I recommend this phone to everyone. Get it!!!

I've been following the launch of the Lumia 900 constantly checking for news updates and reading alot of comments, opinions, reviews and whatever else people had to say. I currently use an E7 never had a WP.

One thing is really clear, there are so many people out there who instead of avoiding the new Lumia after checking specs and reviews and deciding they don't like it, they follow it around throwing as much hate as they can hoping it will fail. Why is that?
      Buy what you like, period.

I still have a few questions though

If it works with one processor how did MS/Nok fail by not using two processors?

Can you download 600k apps on your phone?

Tiles are bad because the're different?

Were they trying for a phone or an DSLR?

Jagged edges? Used the phone, don't stare at it.

There is a lot of room for improvement just as there is with Humans, computers, cars, books, houses, oh my goodness people these things are phones, an iphone allegedly blew up in the owners while playing a game, IT CAN HAPPEN.

Again, buy what you like and enjoy it.

HWHOG, 11 Apr 2012I love the people who just stare at the HW specs of the pho... moreit runs just fine on my motorola defy with 1 core...
and it is almost 60 fps smooth most of the time!
thanks to cm7.2 tsf shell launcher pro and some nice apps by google and root devs...

it's not android that is fucked up... it's the devs who create shitty apps!
you are correct i dont need a dual core to run fruit ninja smoothly! but the devs made it so!!
look and flick golf extreme spirit and more apps that are great and smooth on low end phones and you'll see that the slowness is just due to bad programming!

panki_86, 10 Apr 2012Single-Core CPU, 512MB RAM and Adreno 205 = Nokia flagship ... moreI love the people who just stare at the HW specs of the phones these days. Thank's for Android that doesn't run smoothly even under a quadcore CPU and some octocore GPU. LOL for you, dude.

I threw my iPhone4 away and bought N9, and have never been more satisfied with my phone. Both of these have single-core 1GHz cpu and run their native OS's smooth like damn.

"Finnish based Nokia admitted that a memory
management issue with the software on the
phone was preventing some users from connecting to
the internet. The difficulties have nothing to do with
hardware of the device or AT&T's network.
The good news is that Nokia has quickly responded
with a software fix which will be ready on April 16th.
The manufacturer is allowing those who bought the
flagship Windows Phone model to either download the
new software or swap their flawed model for a new
one. Nokia U.S. Chief Chris Weber says that the
company is already producing new units of the
phone with the new software which he says are
                being shipped to AT&T stores.
In addition, all those who bought the phone will
receive a $100 rebate from Nokia regardless of
whether or not their phone is affected. Considering that
the phone is $99.99 with a 2-year contract, that
effectively makes the Nokia Lumia 900 free for those
who purchase the phone before Midnight Pacific Time
on April 21st. Weber noted that the customer always
comes first which he says is why Nokia is offering the
rebate. The executive also added that the company is
investigating how such a problem with the software
made it though testing and went out in units sold to the
                public."

Why do people look at processor speed, RAM and graphic chip on Windows Phone? It's faster and more fluid than anything out there except for the iPhone 4S.

By the way. It's #1 in Seller and #1 Top Rated phone on Amazon. I think that's the first time that is happening.

This is sh...t in package of very nice design, phone for ppl with homos...ual preferences and masochists. The phone "knows better" what is better and what you must do. For me system is not intuitive, slow, and "to heavy & big" for phone hardware. Battery can't be charged fully, so it's life will be shorter. The worst phone I have ever seen. Only nice looking, nothing more or anything interesting.
