I love my Nokia lumia 920. But i have some issues... moreto be honest it is different os. as you would expect.
1.calender is reasonable, but have you tried chromos.
2. playlist is only a matter of connecting phone to pc, what's so hard? this is not n8.
3 and 4. just pin contacts to start screen. its easy.
5 and 6. FM is built in. but Microsoft are not flipping the switch to summer time. possibly the blue update . but it is coming.
7. yes volume for music and phone are same. I really don't know if its being changed, doesn't seem to be big deal to most people. 1 second puts volume up are down.
8. i'm going to assume you mean silent for individual contacts. yes I did notice you cant do it, but it doesn't bother me as I've know contacts to hide like this. if I need silent I put phone on silent. so I think your and android fan.
s4 is same old plastic crap with couple new tweak's. its no big deal and I cant see android fans leaving there s3 just as quickly this time around. but time will tell.. next Lumia is planned for may. 928 will not be in my pocket. I will wait to 2014 when the next flagship will be out..

hi all.
I love my Nokia lumia 920. But i have some issues . some of which could easily sorted,
1st -the calender which is fine as calenders go but it wont let me have an event which occurs every fortnight (i know it not that much an issue but the N8 could)
2nd - adding songs to a playlist is a pain in the ass.. almost impossible (especially compared to the N8)
3rd - cant set default numbers to use when call or txting
4th - cant set one key dials (quick dial)
5th - no fm radio
6th - no fm transmitter (which the N8 had and was handy)
7th - changing the music volume in the media player changes the ring volume which is annoying
8th - no predefined profiles ie. silent loud headphone etc. these were extremely handy in every nioka since the year dot. why loose them now.
other than these things its a great offering from nokia and they need to be working on the 940 as the S4 will once again leave nokia in the dark.

... moreHi there. I think i can help with 2 and 3.
2. Go to emails and account's on you settings. Go to facebook, pop in your email. Let it all sync. Your people hub will become your Facebook. You can set up twitter to do same. And possibly number 1 . Not sure as i don't have it. . Download a Facebook app from store as well. . 3. Video calling i just use skype are viber. . Download from store and set up.

Aadrian, 04 Apr 2013Worlds greatest phone, absolutely amazing device.Almost only you and Willboyce posting here.Lumia 920 still lack to many features and apps to attract many people.I am a Nokia fan but not a Wp fan right now.long way to attract me to buy a Lumia phone.really hope they release a sailfish phone.

Hi Luminaritans!
My Lumia has just developed another mechanism of beautification, whereby, the images that are my favorites make the photos-tile very lovely.
I recommend the updates to consider the following
> Prevent device heat up from 3/4G connections
> Manual adjustment of screen brightness
> Self-timer on camera settings
> User selection of animations on transition
> Options to deactivate home key brightness (on/off)
> Options to deactivate key press vibration
> Options of searching in-device apps and others
> Improve battery performance by 60% from current statistics
> Improve camera performance on daytime photos...
> Option to have live tiles (photo) up to >50% of the screen size
All the above options are as a result of previous experience and expectations on a high-end device like Lumia 920.
I do love Nokia, that is why I am finding my time to make suggestions with hopes that someone may want to improve on the device I love, own and use.

Luminary has a very power hungry specs....the browsing experience has max 4hours on 3G.....much better on wireless.
I hope 1308 update will bring improvements on battery.
