I ... morethey seems to had been in a real hurry to make this.promixity sensor that suddenly dont work and you havd to wait until other person hang up.dust that come in the phone and mess up front camera.and the lack of apps and features that are other smartphones.just one volume control and no way to add different text tunes.

For more than a decade I have been a ‘Nokia only’ user. I have used almost all ‘most popular’ Nokia phones since my first 5510 till my last E6. But, my latest Nokia Lumia 920 is a total disaster. Never expected I would say this about Nokia but, I feel cheated.
Was Nokia so desperate? Even so much as to lose their distinctive uniqueness, there is no ‘Nokia’ feel at all in Lumia 920. One may feel a whole lot of ‘Microsoft’ but not a tinge of Nokia. Nokia is obliterated in Lumia.
If Nokia was to use WP8 they should have had their own conditions and characteristics in it. After all Nokia has all the experience one needs to be in the handset market. Nokia should not have been dictated by protective software oriented Microsoft. Lumia 920 does not even feel like a phone, it feels more like some gadget where phone is a small pathetic part.
If Nokia intends to survive they must make serious amends. Or, At least one die-hard Nokia fan, say me, is disappearing from the Nokia realm.
Nokia and Microsoft must sit together and decide on some update that will turn Lumia 920 into an actual phone or declare it as some other ‘gadget with a phone’.
Better still, call it a camera with additional benefit of a phone. So much bragging about camera. Low light shot is excellent, video stability is very good, I give you that, but other than these features nothing stands out. The phone call list/phone book management is clumsy.
Some of the more serious expectation which is not met by Lumia 920 are:
o Nokia/PC Suite was such a darling ‘genie’ that could perform almost all tasks from a PC, but is rendered helpless in Lumia. So much so that when connected to a PC, Lumia 920 is just a pendrive. Who needs some pen drive that costs Rs 38,500 for about 29 GB space (lesser if you install apps etc.) (Ha! Ha!). Drag and drop a file in this pendrive and you won’t be able to locate it in the phone, it is only visible in a connected PC.
o No file manager/explorer? That’s a big No-No. Microsoft’s way of managing files on phone is weird. I added some music files from the PC and it just disappeared in the phone, after struggling for quite long it was discovered that the actual file name of the music file did not exist, rather I had to scan through a long list of ‘unknown artist’ to find it. Horrible experience.
o Another feature that I miss very much is using the phone modem. When I called the Helpdesk they said that I could use it in my laptop. In other words sharing the internet over Wi-fi, that’s a plus I agree. But what happens if I need to usb-connect my PC which does not have a Wi-fi? Earlier phones could connect using the Nokia/PC Suite – now, that’s a limp, isn’t it?
o Video calling is a lie. It can video call only through Skype. And, one particular call from Nokia tried to justify it saying, it supported the new LTE which is not available in India that’s why the old 3G video calling is not supported. Stupid reply.
o Another irritation is ‘Transfer my data’ feature which is one way (at least on the phone to phone level). You get data from other phones but cannot give data to other phones except via online. What’s that?

Using this wonderful Phone for over 2 months now. Best Phone I've ever used. Everything works fine and the Phone looks so good. WP8 is a very good OS, when I compare it to Android it's way faster and more stable. No regret at all, and compared to WP7 it's a major step forwards.

I agree it's heavier than other phones BUT you're all wrong! I was surprised it's actually LIGHT when holding it! seriously you people should check it yourself instead of blaming the company.
Anyways the black one I had in my hand was gorgeous, kinda like black lamborghini or a stealth bomber. It's worth buying it if you like to use this phone forever.

Best phone I've ever used. And I've a lot of Android phones and the Lumia is just better than them all. Don't trust the negative remarks you read from the internet. Most of them have never even used this phone and are just merely bashing. If you want a gorgeous smartphone (I have a red 920) with excellent quality (screen, camera, audio), you should really go for this phone. And it's not even thick and heavy as all those naysayers are making it out to be. Other smartphones are just insanely thin that their durability has already been compromised. Lumia 920 feels just right in the hand. It's rock solid and very durable.

I support this, from the very past nokia is known to procure heavy and durable phones none of my phones are nowhere less than 130 gms, not to mention all from nokia, pick up a s3 and you certainly got a feel that you gonna break that thing if put a little more pressure and if it falls...no need to say...lol

anonymous, 29 Mar 2013185g! overweight, that's ridiculous for a smartphone...It's not so heavy at all. Besides of the fact that it might be heavier than other phones, it feels solid, good in the hand. When a phone of this size is ultra light, it feels more like if it's empty inside.

:> 64 hours of moderate use on 2G..(since Tuesday 26/3/13)
:> Today, I have used the phone as wifi-hotspot for 4hours,
2G calls (49 mins), camera (82 photos) and Music (42
songs played) = 42% battery remaining from a full charge.
Tip
:> When Lumia 920 battery is completely drained, give it
1hour while off, turn it on and you have 20% battery!!
:> I think it is so great a phone, PERFECT CLASS!!
