My Regrets, 640$ device, in person experience, whatever specs or design as the saying goes, when in Rome do as the Romans do! ANDROID id now, only option fr Nokia, apps, gamrs, OS, still iys not s mobile platform, itd fr PCs. Now Microsoft had also bogged down for support by nxt june 14. Did we buy fr a year, no its a ploy to ditch us. I protest, with anger, SeeYou

[deleted post]As far your battery life. . What i did as a tip from someone. Is to drain your battery 4 r 5 times . Filled by complete recharges. Doing this settles the lithium battery. . 8 hes is prob good but if your using your phone continually . Playing games r surfing etc. Try it. See how u go. . Don't forget to block your maps when not in use. If you don't they will still use your battery.

Is anyone experiencing heat problems with this phone. It gets really warm even while making calls or while using 2G. There are only 3 apps running in the background. My phone runs on the latest software. Any advice?

AnonD-124640, 22 Mar 2013Having had a Nokia lumia 920 for a week now, I can say it i... moreHi Luminary!!
....@Gunmast...I have to say you can have the phone on complete silent..
settings>ringtones+sound>vibrate (slide to OFF)..
Again, the ringtone volume depends on the system loudness
(If the music player is at 2/30, the ringtone will be low...you can toggle the settings and find a balance and how to have your windows phone in your style.
Finally, the phone has an amazing UI fluidity. This of course is at a cost of battery life. I want to believe that this phone fits well with those with PC already so that the phone acts as a back up of some tasks on the move but if the phone is bought to replace play station of laptop or home theatre music system, then I am afraid the charge will be on your neck.....owing to the fact that the battery in non-removable there is a lot of planning to be done.
I wish you a Luminary day>>> I'm in a meeting..ppsssst!!

AnonD-70078, 22 Mar 2013Nope. Fm radio i think was originally to come in summer are... moreIt looks like the FM radio hardware is embedded into all WP8 phones but the WP8 operating system lacks the drivers and app to make it work, which is quite strange in my oppinion. It is expected to come with next update of WP8, but no ETA yet.
For more info, this is explained in this analisis Nokia Lumia 920: http://www.teknofilo.com/nokia-920-analisis-y-prueba-a-fondo/ (sorry it is in Spanish but you can google translate the part where they talk about 'radio FM')

Having had a Nokia lumia 920 for a week now, I can say it is a very underestimated phone and as for wp8 it is much better. Than android. Windows have really put alot of thought and effort into this. The reason wp8 is not taking off as well as it should is probably down to the bad press of the desktop version. As a smart phone software this is awesome way better than android. The 920 does lack a couple of things and ppl say it doesn't give notifications in the taskbar but the live tiles give you that information, so I cant understand what ppl are moaning about there. The only bad thing so far i can find is the 1. You cant take the ringtone off vibration. If its on silent it can only be on vibrate, id prefer it to be silent. 2. The battery is poor I have to charge it up after around 8 jrs to make sure it gets me through the day. Other than than a great phone and software. All the apps i used on android are available on wp8. And its the quantity that matters but quality and with the apps this is shown.

Nokia lumia 920 is a very interesting phone. Best windows phone ever! However as a windows and android user. Windows needs more apps. My samsung galaxy note 2 has a very very good battery life where as nokia lumia 920 battery is really poor. And the camera on lumia is good but I expected much better than note 2. End of the day lumia 920 was a good phone ans nokia made a good attempt on innovation. However they need to step up more like samsung. Nokia has to kill sony and htc to compete with samsung and apple.

Hossman, 22 Mar 2013Windows mobile 8 discontinued and Microsoft will support it... moreIn March 2013, Microsoft announced that updates for the Windows Phone 8 operating system would be made available through July 8, 2014. [12] Windows Phone 8 devices will be upgradeable to the next edition of Windows Phone, however, unlike Windows Phone 7.x devices which were not upgradeable to Windows Phone 8.
