Android fanboys, please go away. Seriously... you're just showing how lame you are. *tsk tsk*
And I know many Nokia and WP fans do the same on forums of other OS devices. You guys please stop too, kay? We don't need to be immature like them just cos android fans keep bashing on our beloved phone. Let's show them we can be better. :)
I think Nokia chose WP because it is a very mature OS and will appeal to those who want to get away from the heavy customizations of Android or the simplicity of IOS.
Android is great, my first smartphone was the Samsung Galaxy S2. I still have it because I can't seem to make myself sell the first phone I bought with my hard earned money. But I love WP8 and my new Lumia 920 way more. Sure it doesn't have the 500,000+ apps like Android but people don't even install 1% of the 500,000. I've got 13 apps on my SGS2 and I've reset my phone over a dozen times because it started lagging when too many apps were installed (I don't know how the quad core droids are though. Heard they're better but I won't be getting another Android for a long time now). I haven't had that problem on my Lumia 920 yet and I've installed A LOT of apps. And judging by how smooth my friend's old L800 is after 2 years, I think I'll never have such problems on my L920.
There seem to be a lot of people complaining about poor battery. Its not as great as my SGS2 but it easily lasts a full day. I watch youtube videos on my phone for about 2 hours everyday and my phone is almost always connected to my wifi. I call my girlfriend every night for about an hour and play those little games for time pass occasionally. I listen to music whenever I do my Physics/Maths assignments and these usually take an hour each. Sometimes I just browse through the marketplace hunting for apps so basically my screen is on at most times. I like the battery output. Not the best but certainly commendable since the screen is amazing.
Lack of awesome HD games isn't a problem for me. I've got my Alienware Aurora for that. And besides, I don't like hardcore gaming on a touchscreen.
Oh and there's an app that lets you watch youtube videos. It's called Metrotube so those who were worried about no youtube app, check it out. It comes with a price but its worth it. You'll have to pay 0.99$ for the full version.

who need gmail when you can sign in through your native mail account
and we have bing to replace google search
and as for youtube,it can be opened through browser (maybe it is not better than youtube apps in ios or android)
and google maps??? we have nokia maps here..
so no worry about google doesn't want to support wp

What a disappointment. Received the 920 8 days ago. Poor battery, poor volume (both alarms and speaker)Not user friendly, minimum support, have to guess what to do if you don't know the symbols. On day 8 (yes, one day after the out of box warranty expired) the phone switched off and nothing can get it working. Needs to travel 200km to closest service shop. Worst Nokia I've had since 1993 in SA.

Sjizzi, 23 Feb 2013It's price is not justified for the set of features it offe... moreIt seems Nokia didnt want 808 to be a success.then they had to continue with moore symbian phone and support.920 has no good white balance and no face detection and no zoom while recording videos.and why only mono sound when recording videos despite It has 2 microphone for that and 1 for calls.they should have continued a bit longer with symbian until Wp has all the featurer that symbian offers.
