VERY impressed with the Nokia Lumia 920 I bought(AT&T)... Windows Phone I think is still a wee bit primitive in terms of Apps. I like games such as Shadowgun and Dead Trigger so.. I think i'm gonna stick with my Nexus 4. Also the camera on the 920 deserves a better camera software( PhotoSphere etc.) Though the lovely UI is still not beaten by Android or iOS. I would still be a Fan of Nokia. Live on, Nokia!

I have brought this mobile on 1st day and using it for past 10 days. This phone is awesome. The OS is very different from android and ios and it's very fluid. The features are great!! chanceless. I have compared the photo with iPhone 5 and it looks natural and brilliant than iPhone 5. Initially, battery was backup was not good, so, i have called the nokia guy and he told to recharge it for dozen of times to get it used. I did it and now i am getting the backup for 1 day with heavy usage. Kudos to nokia for making this phone. And never forget about the touch plus, hd plus display, pure black, very high brightness. If you like to get a mobile for 35k, just go for it.

I own this phone since two days ago and I love it, many many cool features it has.

Lets start with windows phone 8:

Microsoft has put the same OS of our desktop in mobile version, it even has the same directory path like C:/users and also program files just like windows PC.

The OS has many apps, enough for make the switch towards it.

As any new OS, there are still some issues that needs to be taken in account:

Notifications: There's now way to get past notifications, current notifications are displayed on the top but of you don't have a live title for that app that has an alert for you, you will not know if you get that top alert go. In order to not miss anything you have to place live title the app you want to get notified so when you see your home screen, that live title will have a number indicating the number of alerts from that app.

Apps: I was an early adopter for android when it came out in 2008 and I'm now one for windows phone 8 and I can tell that this OS has started way more prepared for the battle, WP will gain a lot of users because of the great buzz it's having and because its very eye candy.

and now let's talk about the hardware of the Lumia 920:

very good design, I really like what Nokia has done here, the camera is pureview so when you zoom in when you are going to take a picture, it will be less noise and won't appear to be that zoomed in.
note: you have to take the photo to actually see the final result.

low light camera is very very good, I take photos in the night and they look like were taken in the afternoon.

screen: retina display is very good, looks really nice and has that wow effect when you see it for first time.
the screen can be used with gloves and has sunlight readability, which means the screen is still viewable in direct sunlight.

battery life is so so, with hard usage I get 6 hours, with light usage like 12 hours and in stand by the phone reaches 30 something hours, congrats to Qualcomm and Microsoft for that stand by time.
(Stand by means not using the phone but still connected to 3G and running background apps like whatsapp and Skype.)

build quality is very good, I like the unibudy design but the weight is something to take account before buying, of course one will get used to it so its not a big deal.

so far that's it, I really recommend this phone, specially all the features it has like smart shoot, offline maps and offline turn by turn navigation, OFFLINE TRANSLATOR for the language you want, image and voice translation and music&TV identifier with Bing.

I haven't used NFC or the wireless charging as I don't have accessories for it.

bottom line: windows phone 8 is ready for prime time, all basic phone features that were missing in wp7 like USSD and reply by SMS are now here.

These is the phone that I will show to my friends and compare against theirs.

so according to this video, are you telling me that a quad core android are slower than dual core wp?

that is a speed test of browser and apps.
the android usually got lag because the background tasks (that's why it is need a quad core chip to support), and there's no use denying it because i'm an android and lumia 920 user, and i prefer my lumia now.

I am going to write ... morewell, actually you can just press the home button without closing what you are doing now, and it still running on the background, and just press the back button (for few seconds) and you can resuming what you are doing.

and about the wifi and bluetooth shortcut, you can just download an app for that and pin it to your live tiles.

come on, be a smart user... a smartphone without smart user is useless
