both the matte finish and gloss finish are polycarbonate. They both will survive the same damage, but the difference between the gloss finish is that once the surface gets scrathed, it won't be glossy underneath. The matte finish on the other hand will stay as a matte finish.
Also, with the dark black, if the scratch is really deep, it may show slightly lighter/whitish
... best thing to do is not scratch it ;)

i have bought my sister 2 andorid phones, but i have been using n900 maemo and n9 meego ... when i used her android (becuase people were hyping android up), i thought it was the most pathetic piece of junk i've ever used. I think even symbian belle is far superior as an operating system... if it wasn't for android apps, android wouldn't be in the phone market.
I'm still using my n9, and i'll be getting a lumia 920 very sooon... windows is MIND BLOWINGLY fast and simple. no question about it.. it will over take apple and give google a run for thier money.

Guys i had a question .. As we saw in knife test the back surface of 920 is completely scratch proof.. Is it the case with only poly carbounate body or also matte finished black.. Because in all of the tests we just saw poly carbounate one being scratched but no matte... Does the matte finished body survives with scratches like poly one ?

Android is the biggest load of S**t I've ever seen, especially from a technical standpoint. I used to cheer for Android in their war against Apple, thinking Apple were the bad guys and Android were the good. Then I used my first Android phone. For the first month I kidded myself into thinking it was good. Even for a while after that I was willing to ignore the constant app crashes and phone restarts. I even put up with the 4 hour battery life after the ICS update. Until viber was announced for Windows phone. I straight up traded for a Lumia 800 and haven't looked back. WP is a superior operating system to Android. It has a nicer interface, a good set of apps and, most importantly, it's actually stable. I don't even care about the war on Apple, I would prefer WP to be second to iOS than Android to be the top mobile OS

Nokia dominates Windows Phone. Samsung and HTC can't compete with them on the same platform just like the old days. Nokia makes the best hardware and they have best support.

You know why the s3 does not have jelly bean 4.2 right? Are you actually even aware of that? The top 2 phones on the planet are Lumia 920 and the ip5.
