Update to 8.1is now becoming a myth, MS very slow n OTA, why when no valid reason except laziness, now 920 is forgotten, but Nokia I self has been bought to fade n history

I bought a Lumia 920 in April 2013 from The Mobile Store Gurgaon at INR 37000, and just within 4 days of buying it, the phone crashed. The phone would just hang up whenever I started the camera and only a hard reset could bring the phone back. I went to the local Nokia Care and they said it will be repaired. I requested a replacement and I was turned down. Then I wrote to Stephen Elop, then CEO of Nokia about this and within 4 days I got a brand new piece. I was grateful about the prompt customer care experience.
I still faced hang-ups whenever I would use Here Maps and Here applications. But in the meantime, my sim got disconnected and I could not test this further. For about an year, I used this mobile only for photos, music and data storing/editing. Here too I wrote a mail to Stephen Elop, but I guess by then my emails may have been tagged as spam in Stephen's inbox.
After I was transferred to Pune, in July 2014, I bought a new sim and the hang-up issues resurfaced. One fine day, after 2 hours of charging, the screen stopped working. I again went to the local Nokia Care and they said that the screen needs to be replaced and I will be charged INR 13500 for the same because my phone's warranty expired in May 2014.
This time too I wrote to Stephen Elop, and this time too no response from him. Instead I got a response from India Repair Manager that they will provide me concession and I will have to pay INR 8200 + Taxes. I requested to know the reason for this failure even after handling the mobile as delicately as possible, but nobody cared to respond on that. Instead I got a follow-up email asking my opinion about the concession provided.
I was a fan of Nokia and that is the reason I have bought 3 Nokia phones till date viz. 3315, X6 and Lumia 920. I have also used Motorola, Blackberry, Micromax, Ericsson, and all of these phones are still working including X6 and 3315. But Lumia 920 has turned out to be the worst mobile I have ever used even after it being a smartphone. And on top of that, the customer care experience has been so GOOD (sarcastically), that I would recommend a Noble Prize for Nokia Customer Care.

already I downloaded the developers preview and I have signed in. I checked for updates it shows ur phone is up to date. But still I have 8.0 I didn't get 8.1 and my region gulf in Oman.
please help me how to update tell me briefly.

this phone is good , so far my concern is about when opening application (Video Trimmer etc.) its not opening at all. what seems to be the problem ? can you also share your experience whats your do's and dont's
