Shan, 02 Nov 2012Which phone is best iPhone 4s or Nokia lumia 920 I would choose Nokia 920, because I always loved Microsoft Windows, and always will. Bought Windows 8, bought Nokia Lumia 920, and buying Surface PRO 128GB when it comes out.

Guys Its microsoft which disabled FM RADIO. i got it on their site, Remember to VOTE as per my previous posts. we don't have to blame nokia here. i think its an OS (windows phone) issue here rather than the hardware (nokia)

Look at windows, there is no feature whic... moreWell if you take into consideration that MS is now attempting making their own devices too then it begs the question whether they have intentions in buying off Nokia at the right time. Yeah conspiracy theorists are going to have a field day on this one as MS would love to have a company they can control to make "their" products cheaper and to "their" liking. So tablets, phones, PC's and heck maybe even gaming consoles etc.

Logic says NO. They don't need that! They can just get someone to make it for them and save themselves the hassle of managing another aspect of business and thus shifting focus away from being a software company. That and the fact that all they need is to pay a company like Apple do to make their devices cheap for them. It will be the same strategy as Apples anyway.

There is no internal sabotage within Nokia. Nokia can put all things into one device but will probably do it at a later stage. They have enough differentiation in this device to make people want it. Maybe their next device in H1 of 2013 will have a Radio, FM transmitter, 4,8 inch screen, slide out keyboard or even PV 3 shipping etc. For now this is an awesome device. It has a market and will sell. It may be the first steps of a Nokia recovery but will reap huge rewards for them. If you own a company then one can understand that it is just a marketing aspect of not throwing everything into one product initially. Keep your product different and unique while at the same time keeping the product at a competitive level. That all-in-one device will come. Hopefully soon. Just not now.

Hope I'm wrong and it is announced just before Christmas but I highly doubt that and even if it is announced it will probably only ship in January 2013 or later. For now I'd say go enjoy this phone. It will be an awesome device that will keep you captivated for a long time and with some further updates planned by MS you can only expect it to get better software wise. Watch that space!!

I think the Nokia lumia 920 is reasonably priced. Look at the prices of all the flagship phones. Samsung roughly the same. And iPhone more expensive. At least with Nokia there phones last. By purchasing one of the lumias ,your made for 4 years. All other lightweight flagships your waiting for contract to end to get a new handset as yours is turning to well chewed plastic cutlery set for the kids parties. . Lumia is well worth the bit extra, because Nokia build quality.

HiT, 02 Nov 2012Now I am starting to believe that Nokia's decline / demise ... moreI agree with you. Look at windows, there is no feature which was on Win95 that is not on Win7. nokia is no longer consistence. i think there is someone inside Nokia (with the help of outsiders) who wants to see it go down. maybe they want it sold so that the buy it for themselves. we understood on their first win.phone lumia 800, but now its their third phone, i wonder why they don't listen to their customers, we read that its investors were disappointed why?? i wonder.
All features on n8 must be on these Lumias + the new inovations, or make a Lumia like that (for examble, Nokia Lumia 921) for those who can afford it.

why iphone 5 loses to 920?

No NFC, no inductive wireless charging, no OIS for the camera, no Super-sensitive touch screen, no Gorilla Glass 2, no exciting colors, no HAAC rich recording.

Lower pixels-per-inch (PPI) on the display, smaller display, worse battery life, mediocre camera specs, slower display refresh-rate. And you can't wear gloves while using it.

                                    Why 920?

An 8.7-megapixel camera sound pretty status quo, that is until you consider that they’ve used their Pureview tech, which includes physical optical image stabilization, the first in a smartphone. It’s also capable of taking “five times” more light than any other smartphone camera on the market. Complementing that is a 4.5-inch WXGA IPS LCD screen that uses PureMotion HD+ technology. it is the “brightest, fastest and most responsive touchscreen on the market” – you can even use it while wearing gloves or control it with a long fingernail.

a 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 2000mAh battery with Qi wireless charging built-in, full HD video capture, a front facing 1.2MP camera, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage (includes 7GB free with Skydrive), and NFC. Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive, Nokia City Lens and Nokia Transport
