Got the Amber update since Monday, nice update with good new features. I have to admit, it looks like Nokia put more effort in this update than Microsoft. The most changes are from Nokia, at least I have that feeling. But the update is good. Nokia glance is awesome.

Help Help Help!!!I have Xperia S(Jelly Bean).The phone is good for someone who likes to play games.The battery on Xperia S is very bad,and if you writing messages it is hard.I want buy a Lumia 920,can someone tell me who knows,whether the battery is good and gave a slight write messages, that's all I need??'Buy or not to buy Lumia,please help me,I do not want to pay the expensive cell phone and then complain for a week because of the money..

Dipesh, 21 Aug 2013can u tell me where sim card slot on the top, left side, you can see a small hole. To this hole, introduce the narrow tip of the key, provided (or any narrow strong metal that can be inserted ), then the SIM tray cover will automatically open.

my nokia lumia, is week to find signal, getting hot, when playing game, or surfing in internet, specially you tube, very bad... but owesome in camera, capture picture... phone setting its too poor, its not a smart handphone, only smart kamera... so we could call it a camera which could use to call n texting, not a handphone at all, i'm sory ..so dissapointed

If so then the update is available, If not visit nokia global site in support section. check your software vesion to find out both the originality of your handset and whether there is update available, comes soon or still awaited for approval.

920 user, 16 Aug 2013I bought my 929 from Vodafone in Germany but now I live in ... moreu will receive the update if not sooner maybe later.. but u will.. moving to a different place will not affect the update...

Ever before i ordered for the phone,i thought the phone was a 5"inc smart phone,but i was disappointed when i saw that it was like the regular HTC 3:5 inc" phone....it would have been alot prettier if it had the size of the new TECNO PHANTOM A(F7) OR SAMSUNG GALAXY S4....moreover,the battery is not as strong enough as i envisaged......thumbs up to the CAMERA and screen display though.

after the Amber update, we can download the pro cam app. But how will the pictures be the same as the 925/1020 since thhey have an extra lens (6 instead of 5)

Thank god for Nokia, or the Win 8 phones would actually be in trouble. The quality apps are on the way every day, who gives a crap about having a million really. It's nice to see Nokia a doing the innovating while Apple is busy explaining why you don't really need that anymore. The Nokia 1020, with the advantage of all the Nokia apps, is outstanding. And It's nice to see that no one is even questioning the fact that the camera blows away the competition, it's not even close and probably won't be for quite some time to come. Kudos Nokia, and hurry up Instagram, I bet you will look really great on the platform, so move it along.

Here is my opinion, but first let me be as transparent as possible. I have a WP8 HTC 8X, as well as an iPad and wifey has an iPhone 5. I have used for years, BlackBerry, iPhone, and Android. I switched to Windows Phone for something different. I liked the UI and how it flowed. I have not regretted moving to WP. It's fast, efficient, logical and functional. I like Apple devices and Android devices but for some when I switched to WP, I don't feel the need to jump to a new device every 6 months. WP has some down sides - the adoption rate sucks so not many other people have one. The app selection is not on par with Apple and Android, although 95% of the good, quality apps are there (there just aren't 160 variants of a fart app). I use 3rd party Vine and Instagram apps and there is not a noticeable difference. If I was walking into a cell store to pick up a new device, today, I'd grab the Nokia 920/925/928 or the Nokia 1020 over the iPhone 5 or SG4 or Moto X or HTC One. If you are into photography, grab the Nokia 1020. The pics are amazing (search some Flickr sites). One WP feature I love but is rarely mentioned: the dedicated camera button. Bottom line: if you like rows of app icons and a beefier app universe, stick with Apple/Android. If you want to try something different, try the WP.
