but you say WP is new OS.
sorry to say....
the first release of Windows mobile OS was in 2000.....
its 13 years after...nothing changed......
on other side Android is released in 2008..and font need any explaination for mighty android...
please not: i've Lumia 920, I had galaxy note2......very disappointed for this WP OS.

I am a proud owner of Nokia Lumia 920 & I personally love the quality of the phones by Nokia although Lumia series have a heating problem but that is solved by the software update & Windows Phone 8 is a sober & nice Mobile OS but lack of apps doesn't make a difference as the important apps are available & I would love if Windows Phone OS becomes more stable & secure than before as still some bugs are causing issues during runtime but pretty much solid product by Nokia..Screw ur apple & androids as this is a very new Mobile OS with things lined up properly except for some issues but I know that Microsoft team will look into that..

and don't tell me the exact quantity of apps on store...
first go check, is any useful apps?
call recorder is for ₹1020..
too many restriction on developers..
third part live tile update status after 30 minutes....thank god..clock is not third party app....otherwise we would see time 30 min late.....
and yes adobe is there but its adobe reader not flash player for browser.....
i dont've much time to discuss ant drawbaks of WP OS,
but nokia done great job on hardware & maps......
camera & maps are awesome, the only reason I use this phone...
otherwise OS is totally bullshit...

I've written my rev... moreFlash is a thing of past. Latest android versions are also without flash support.
U can install applications from sd card. Download directly from wpstore site and put them into sd card. After that when u open the store in phone, it will show a new option of sd card. Click on it and intall all applications that are stored.

WhatsApp for WP devices is updated today. Now its working fine. Everything is stable. I have updated and now no problem on my NL 820. So update the application and enjoy. Changelog is
Initiate voice calls from within the app
*.Background API allows you to play music
*.New smileys
*.Fixed notifications for users
*.Users can now see smileys on the double wide tile
*.Fast resume (If the app is open and you click on the incoming notification it opens as fast as on Android)
*.On start-up, it now asks if you want to back up your chat history. You can also do this through settings.

AnonD-38759, 08 Jul 2013What do you mean this phone is bad compare to android, I my... moreWell i agree to most of your points but file manager is a double edged sword, yes it can be used the way you stated but file handling needs to be improved i cannot email documents and files which are not appearing in apps that is ridiculous, i use to download cdr files and mail them on the move that's impossible, cannot find files received via Bluetooth, however silky smooth os on par with ios, waiting eagerly for amber and GDR2 and later blue in 2014 afterwards the temperament from Microsoft make the fate of wp for me....

Nowadays I'm using nokia lumia 620, it is totally mischieving with its users. I add some more things that its capactive touch is not good, it's near to the resistive touch. The so called hd camera has no any hd quality. Phonebook and sms features lacking all the basic and essential options. And in the last these phones are very costly in comparison with good quality android phones. ayazaliayaz@aol.com.

Lumia 920.......3 month after use.....
I've written my review some day ago in detailed, so no need to discuss common topics.
Microsoft advertized that 150000 apps in market....
ha ha ha ha ha.....
Let me explain..
1. You can only install apps from microsoft store on device itself, that means not from other sites and not by manually...only from MS store...and you know wht?? you've to purchase apps, those are totally free on android & IOS with latest version.....point to be noted some apps are only for INR 500....wow
2. Out of 150000 apps only 2 to 3 apps are useful and some 3 to 4 games are good....
and you know why???? because......
Developers does not have full access to WP OS...means while developing any apps...microsoft restrict some area of OS.
For example: if someone create themes for Live (?) Tiles, developers can access only some 4 to 5 Tiles to theme and not sms icon, not emails, not contacts.etc
another great example...if someone create a apps of battery level indicator...then on live tiles it'll update ur battery status after 30 minutes...means no live status..
these are just examples, all apps are developed in similar manner, because microsoft does not allow developers to create apps like android or IOS...
3. no flash player, so u need youtube apps..
there are lots of youtube apps in store but....
again, microsoft restriction on them....
Those youtube apps can download video but you cant upload it to your PC...they are stored in isolated places.....so no file transfer....
I'm really very disappointed about microsoft..they are all bullshit...
You cant compare WP8 with android or IOS..
even I had Nokia N82, i used N82 for 5 years, and it was 100 times better than today's WP devices...
Only one thing is really good on Lumia devices is "Nokia Maps", really really very great thing..nokia done great job on maps....sorry to say but nokia maps like "Here drive", "City lense" are better than live google maps..because you've life time free GPS license once u purchase Lumia 920...i dont know abt others..
So those who wants customization, please dont go for WP devices, they are totally bullshit
and please if somebody not agree with me, first go use such a expensive phone if u r able to purchase then talk with me........so dont bother to argue

Can i install my important softwwares in in N920 ? I ned to use Minitab software which is supported by Windows. Will it support in phone??
