this is how to update your lumia 925 and any lumia to the 8.1 update for developers ,..,
1. Go to appstudio.windowsphone.com/ and login using your Microsoft account (if u dont have an ms account, create one at outlook.com and login into appstudio with the credentials created)
2. After login, register at the site.
3. From your windows phone-> windows store, search and download "Preview for developers" app and login using Microsoft account, which you had used to register at appstudio site.
4. In your phone settings-> phone update, check for update (remember to turn on wifi before that)
5. The updates are not cumulative. You need to install 3 updates (assuming you have Lumia black update at present) one at a time. I.e after every update installation, you need to go to settings-> phone update and repeat the check. Third time you are into windows 8.1
For activating Cortana,
Settings-> language, tap and hold on your current language.
1. Change language settings to English united states
2. Change region settings to united states
3. Settings-> phone update, check for update. It would install Cortana.
Time estimate : 1 hour for all of the above installation.

If u wanna use that developer preview edition check out the wpcentral.com

Windows phone 8.1 or Lumia Cyan is the next update for Lumia phones. People who are complaining about battery life with Windows 8.1 is not a valid complain because the lastest version is Lumia black. And Windows 8.1 is a preview vesion so it has lots of bugs to be fixed before its actual release. The release will be from june to August depending on handset. Good news is Lumia 925 is the first handset which is about to recieve this update.

Hi, please help. I'm confused between a Lumia 925 and Galaxy S4. I'm aware of how stupid I might sound comparing two different OS but whatever. So, my main requirements are good picture quality, heavy internet usage and a good battery life.

Prabakaran , 16 Apr 2014Guys, please suggest me can I go for lumia 1320 or 925? and... moreboth sets have almost completely different specs.. 1320 is i think more focused on gamers and multimedia lovers due to big screen and sd card.. 925 on the other hand is for plain windows usage. nothin exceptional, although after buyin 925 i dont regret a bit, the camera is excellent and the performance is top notch also the body of this phone is pure awesome !!!!!!
