Dear 925 users, I am split between Nokia 925 and Sony Xperia ZR. Please help me here. Here is what I need from my phone. A decent battery life >no multiple charges in 24 hrs. Sound build quality> Should not fall apart easily (sh*t happens!). Navigation and offline maps are important to me> phone likely to be used in Africa, South west asia (I think HERE maps are not very detailed there). Good reception especially 3/3.5/4G> It will be my connection to world as I am expect to roam in poor coverage areas with no broadband connection. Video/ Skype calls over 3+ G networks. No surprises when you end up in new country>e.g. network connections, software/ map licenses etc. Casual e-mails, gaming (not a hardcore gamer), a reasonable camera, and social networking> I am not a FB etc fanatic but occasional connectivity is required. Some degree of security of personal information (I know it may not be entirely possible). Office/ business apps for productivity etc preferably free.
I have got my hands on Androids but never on WP. Replies from L925 owners are much appreciated and thanked in advance.

Can we copy images,songs,etc of 925 phone to Laptop with Window 7 easily? and can we copy songs, images from Laptop running Window 7 to Lumia 925?

This is a great phone from Nokia. Probably one of the best on the market. The camera is amazing and shoots great low light pictures. With moderate use the battery will last about 35 hours. That doesn't mean leaving on my wifi, bluetooth, and staying on the phone for hours. Windows Phone 8 has great battery saving features so you may get your battery to last longer. The phone only needs a dual core processor because it is ten times more efficient than Andriod. All around a great phone. Plus, you can link to your windows 8 devices. For an added bonus you also get 7 GB on Skydrive (know as OneDrive) storage.

This is a great phone. I'm a medium net user and about an hour need to talk in a day. So that I need to charge my phone after every 30 to 35 hours. Means it backups great. And the operating system is great. I can share my files photos video's via Bluetooth or email. But there is a lack of available software.
the camera is great great great. This is a camera what you want to take with you in your pocket. You will never miss a moment whether it is in night or day time.

Horrible Battery, needs recharge every 4-5 hours if you have watsapp and fb on. Not worth the money, don't buy this phone come what may!!!

Probably the best Nokia at the moment and definitively the best mobile I have owned out of about 15 different phones. Whole Family now using Lumia devices! As with the 920, it withstood the drop test (a couple of times) no scratches so far, and the aluminium case gives it that executive look and feel.
Had issues with the 1st one, but Nokia Care sorted it really fast and replaced the unit.
a Phone without a support system like Nokia Care is simply not an option.
The Lumia range of phones never needs a reboot, my 925 have been running non-stop for 25 days (Since I received it). The other Lumia's needed a reboot after Lumia Black update!

This is a cool phone just feel great to use and so elegant to watch and hold, for me i chose the black and i love it, the gray is also lovely..the camera is more than what you need in your pocket ,everything about this phone is gr8 except for the apps,i know its a growing market but still need some improvement especially in medical applications,video players and free games categories..bring it that and its no1 smartphone in the market

payam, 30 Mar 2014I have problem with the battery... It wont keep sharj even ... moreThe trick is to turn of location and background tasks which you don't need. But especially Location because burns a lot of battery
Go to Settings > Location and turn it off.
Then go to Settings again > Swipe right to applications > Maps and Turn location off
Also don't forget to turn off WiFi and Data Connection when not needed.
That way you can get about 6 Hours of continuous internet usage
