From my experience personally I think that apps on background don't drain the battery as they do on android. I don't know when M8 will be released, maybe you should wait a little more. But remember that M8 isn't Lumia so you will miss Lumia apps... Hope I helped!

I read some body are angry from lumia 930 battery! is it true?because I'm planning to buy one for my bro... if lumia 930 battery is weak I'd rather wait for one M8 windows phone.I red in some web one M8 WP has better battery and in lumia 930 and one M8 face to face competition lumia wins the camera and screen(but M8 screen is good enough and camera so but lumia is better)
from other side one M8 WP has more battery,better front camera,excellent sound and support sd card.also one M8 WP has Wi-Fi direct and infrared.
totally both are excellent in OS and in world and have amazing specs and os and apps but...
and the problem about M8 WP is the releasing date. when would appear in markets???????

Anonymous, 20 Oct 2014Nokia promised will to do new Nokia Lumia 1030 how kill Iph... more4GB of RAM sounds over; 3GB is enough for now. screen should use back 5.2" from McLaren; for a devices with screen 5.5" and below, FHD is actually sharp enough, but of course its better if comes with QHD but it will make the battery drain quicker. i think u are suggest it according to the recently rumored 1030 that comes with 20MP front-facing right? that's over too. for now 5MP for front-facing is enough; but maybe it should comes with a LED flash. 32GB storage is enough, more memory should be able on expand it via micro SD up to 128GB. CPU should comes with QSD 805 with 4-core 2.5GHz

I want to buy Lumia 930, but read there is battery issue. Can anyone please advice if the battery backup is very less? I use mostly internet for whats app or fb and will get around 3 hours of call (average) daily. Does it give atleast 1 day battery support

The Lumia 930 is a full package of windows phone amazing experience when you hold this phone in your hand ✋ you feels like premium mobile phone it's very smooth because of latest hardware and 5ind full HD amoled display is very good amazing experience u didn't feel like you hold a big display phone you are doing work with your single hand and veer smooth it's worth for money 💵

HTC one ? Moto X ? Xperia Z2 ? Only crapsung does so...and it never heats up....I have used one,which happened to be Verizon Exclusive Icon,the same phone in US. No problem at all.

great useful apps.
fantastic quality sound.
nice in the hand.
battery lasts a day as usual with most devices.
but if your really heavy on browsing internet and whats app it will eat the battery quicker.
2 hours a day on top of everything else.
I went and purchased an android sony z3compact for my work phone and im selling it on ebay this weekend, so that's how much I think Lumia is better.
