Hi i am having a problem with my n70 when i go to search in the contacts the letters I insert in order to go to specific name do not appear on the screen ANY HELP PLEASE

I got the new Nokia N70 Music edition 1 GB..Its a great phone.help me with how can i make my phone work the best.also i want to upgrade the FIRMWARE from where can i do it..

the front camera (vga) is hideous!...
but the back camera (2 mega pixels) is great...however the zoom (20x) i think is fake,because it does not really zoom it better.it just zooms a little bit even in the maximum zoom.i think nokia just made it at 5x but just divided the 5x into 20 more times,to fake it at 20x.

please specify which memory did u format..phone or memory card...if its a memory card then it should not ask for a lock code..but if u r phone is set a code then u'll have to submit the same when u format your phone memory..if u've lost it and dont remember it then.. theres no other alternative but to take u r phone to the nearest nokia care center..hope it helped

nique and please let me know whether it occurs oly when u r running a java app. screen brightness should remain the same..i suggest u take u r phone to a nokia care center as it seems some malfunction in the device. i myself am using a N70 but never experienced such a weird problem..hope it helps

Problem with my N70 ME:
when starting a java application, the screen bightness goes to the brightest even though my display brightness is set at min. So I try pressing or holfing the * or #, then the brightness goes to min, a while later it goes light off.
Have to restart to get screen light on.
Anyone got this? Is it a problem?
what the correct way to lower the brightness when runing java app.?

the new version of the N70 i.e the Music edition provides only 22MB as the internal memory of the phone since it comes with a 1GB RS-MMC.so dont worry about that.The old one Silver has 35 MB. it may be 22MB or less because of the Preset default applications provided by Nokia.

themes can be instaled only as a .sis file. make sure that you are installing a S60 theme as N70 does not support other themes.
Network doesnt play any role in software installation.also to keep your phone memory free install it on your memory card.

how much is the inter nal memory of n70, mine shows 22mb instead of 35mb

hello, i just want to know how to install the themes... when i transfer it into my phone and install it the phone says "installation security error. unable to install" what should i do? my phone is from vodafone but im using here in philippines...
i hope you can answer me... thanks in advance!

the nokia N70 is a gem of a cellphone..it has all the features and can serve many purposes..mp3 player,fm radio,a clear cam with flash 2 mp..gr8 pics can be taken...
the glitch is minor as it does hang sometimes but not quite often...one advice is to free the phone memory as far as possible..1 GB ME is really an excellent choice with those new handsfree remote control so guys go for it..

Dear All,
Kindly note my freind has purchased Nokia N70 from Nokia Showroom india,the next it got hanged & not working properly.Before purchasing any Handset kindly first check with Mobile repair shop.

when using infrared by transfering files, 2 cellphone must have infrared installed on the phone and they have to be aligned facing the infrared with each other. also you can use it as a tv remote control if you have a symbian application which can make your phone to be a tv remote control.
in bluetooth, ofcourse the 2 phones should have bluetooth application installed. about 5meters or more, you can transfer files, more faster and convinient.
