1- I took a photo of me & my girlfriend, by holding the phone in my hand (not auto) and I even printed it. It's great! So, it works from a streched-hand distace, so to speak.
Anyway, like I wrote before, it would be great if it were sunny conditions.
The review was about the macro mode. I don't really get what that is. I thought a bit 'bout it, and came up with the idea it's about capturing text. Yeah! He does it really bad, although it has a photo scene-function (portrait), which somewhat reduces the image buzzing, making large writing look satisfying.
2- About the low speed, all I can say (like before) is that it's low at starting, but you should keep it always turned on. The applications are running smooth (may I remind you it's a phone with an OS on it?!).
I, too, was concerned about its speed and, before buying, I borrowed one for some minutes, to test it. And here I am, owing one!

Well, I guess it would be kind of stupid of me to watch clips on a phone screen, other than those that have just been shot.
That feature is just for an "in memory of..." thing, you understand what I'm sayin'?

It is not recommended for those who likes to watch movie clips on their phone because this phone doesnt really support mp4 even thou it says can support mp4. It is a big disapointment.

please help me i want to buy it, i red a review about N70 that says it has 2 problem, 1- bad quality picture in close distance.
2- low speed .
are there right ? can it be solved by update firmware ? please help me

im using n70 for about a month. but it works very well.. the camera is pretty good but the 2nd camera is not, its kinda blury.:)it also has nice quality for music. if i generalize it this fone is great.:)

I think this n70 is a great phone. Its better than my 6830 phone. It faster.

its the best nokia phone ive ever owned. got heaps of function and looks sleek. it is easy to use, to expect from nokia (user friendly)

My 3230 had problems with the speaker and stuff and then my screen went dead! Needed a new phone tha same day, cause i use it for my work. I bought N70 and its 10 times better! Super fast and has everything i need, plus much space for mp3 etc. the radio ofcourse. Super cool pictures etc. and very easy to use on its own or with its software and my computer. Highly recomented!

I have had my phone replaced twice with a brand new Nokia N70 each time but I keep getting this persistent problem. When the phone is in use or NOT, if u bring it to your ear all you can hear is a buzzing noise. When you record a movie and play it back you can hear the same buzzing but it is much louder. They are coming to replace it with a brand new N70 again for the third time tomorrow.. let see what happens. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Really annoying! other than that look like a great phone..

Hey guys,ive had my n70 for a month now,must say this phone is WICKED,1 situation i need help with,i downloaded games on the phone memory,note:i failed reading the instructions,so know i dont know how to delete it,when i use the c button it says unable to delete, PLEEZ HELP!Email me..

I have change my cellular phone much, and i hope this one will last for long and i think NOKIA don't issue to much another N Series, so that we can have an exclusive cellular phone. Are You Agree Guys/Gals ????

hi freinds
please help me for my small problem on nokia n70
well I need your help for my pwer mp3 player problem now I had convereted some songs in lastest pc suite 6.81 well the new songs which I TRANSFERED in phone was through nokia music transfer a new feature in pc suite 8.61 but i made a play list and when i try to import the list in our power mp3 player kist it gives me system error and play list is created with name playlist .m3u
now u please help me what to do and also the songs are on default folder e:\sounds\digital so please tell me how to solve this problem and import the new songs in our powermp3 player please give me solution at the eraliest

The N70 is a brilliant phone I got 2 one for me and my g/friend but I have had to send one back 5 times due to the speaker been distorted when it rings but mine works brilliant A++++++++ phone

Excellent, marvelous, absolutely fabulous!!!!!!!! The best phone I have ever owned! NOKIA for ever! Please do not make the mistake to bye a Sony Ericsson! I had the T610 and it collapsed twice! The first time when I was on the Internet it suddenly broke down! They told (service) me that the motherboard “burnt”. Eventually they replaced it with a new one! So, 6 months later when I was on vacation I captured a photo, suddenly froze! Immediately the phone had started switching on and off every 20secs! Unfortunately the quarantine period had been finished, but I went it for service again! And they told me that the motherboard had broken!!!!!!!!!! Then I bought the Nokia 6230i AND I AM VERY PROUD OF IT!! Now I have the N70 which is excellent, too!!
PS: My T610 is still switching on and off!

Hmm... Beats me! I`ve never used any of the SE models so far...
Like I wrote, I`ve spent almost 4 months reading forums, specifications from 3 other phones, in order to put in balance the N70 as well, and decided for this one.
But I never questioned whether it had loud enough volume/speakers. I just didn`t think of it. Nokia is the most common phone model and that is a detail they sure didn`t forget.
I mean all the tests they are referring at. I`m sure it`s not crap!
So, I don`t question the volume/speaker details of the first four brands: Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and SE.
It would be a one-in-a-milion accident!
Right?
