georgi: (dunno if this is what you are talking about...) Go to Tools -> Settings -> Network. Choose GSM instead of Dual. That's should stop your 3G.

              Stan -

go onto to my-symbian.com and check out all the aoftwares available for the series 60 phones - most of these should work on the n70. there is an application called full screen caller - u can use this for a full screen call. there's an option to make he display brighter in the phone settings/ display itself and thats the max it can get

              star gazer -

go onto to my-symbian.com and check the dictaphone software, that shld do the trick for the recorder. For the screensaver - there is an application called powerlock available. this gives you tons of options regarding the typr of screensaver - image, clock, calender and settings for pop up time, etc.

georgi - don't think u can do that

              jed -

videos can be played in full screen. after begining, pause the video and go to options and full screen. for a landscape viev of the photos, uase the slideshow option or a software called resco viewer.

              samir -

the phones' display for other than the web browsing can be adjusted. for font size in web browsing - u get an option to increase/ decrease the font size in the settings or advanced option.

for the rest - just got the PowerMP3 player dowloaded on my phone - Man its toooooo cool with a 10 band equalizer. The sound's equal to the K750i (which the current best in the market)

              cheers

Hi, Just bought the N70 2 weeks ago. I was very happy with the features although I have not tried all of it yet. However I encounter 2 problems and I hope someone out there can help me with it.
                          1) Recorder - just recently tried the voice recorder function but to my surprise it only records for 1 min. Check my memory it is not full yet. Can anyone tell me if there is any settings to increase the recording time?
                          2) My N70 has a screensaver which pops up a min. after each time I lock my keypad. Can someone tell me how can I erase or change this screensaver?

Hi there, got this phone last week and have a few questions.

Firstly, where is the best place, and cheapest, to get a 1GB for the phone ?
Also what software should I bother to get for it, some people are talking about Resco Viewer to view the photos in a better way, which sounds good, also is there one to turn the display brighter ? or one to give full screen caller ID ?

                            Many Thanks
                            -Stan-

                              feisal - for you

I understand the pain if you have used the K750i or its generes regarding the cam and flash of n70. but the answer, unfortunately, is NO - we cannot use the flash as a torch but there is a software avaibale (I'm using it on my n70) which enables you to use the phone display as a torch - on/ off on a customised button - cool one

Regarding the screensaver - there is an application - Power Lock which enables you to have a screensaver - a clock or a calender or an image - animated or plain as your screensaver - another cool one

Regarding the sensor - it helps save on battery by adjusting to the surrounding light.

                              POORIYA - for you

go onto the ringtone setup in any profile and open for a choice ur rintone galery, even ur mp3 tones will pop up provided u have stored them in the digital sounds folder in the galery.

                              RAliKH - for you

unfortunately, u cannot remove the initial disply - its a copywritten display by nokia.

                              cheers mates!

                                Hi mates,

have been using the N70 for sometime now - switched over from the K750i (switched over from 6630). The N70 is pretty much like the 6630 except for - looks, the active manue, which is a substitute for being able to customise the navigation key the speakers, the mp3 player and the radio.

                                In particular -
1.The galary view's good but the both the images and videos are located together making the galery too slow to open if loaded. the 6630 viewer for images was amazing and i truly miss it in the N70.
2.The speaker sound is good but the inbuilt MP3 player output is pathetic.
                                3. The radio output too is sad
                                4. The camera is the best amongst the nokias but the best cam in the market is the k750i - just no match.

                                Solutions -
                                1. Download the PowerMP3player from Mobifactor, that should give you the sound quality of the K750i (supposedly the best in the market for now)
2.Download the resco viewer - an amazing software for viewing images only.
                                3. Ofcourse you can costomise the media key to one of the options and not use the Galery (which completely dies if you make folders as well)
                                4. Lastly, I plan to pick up the HS6 headset - hopefully that should cure my emaining aches bout the sound - radio.

                                cheers
                                .

Does anyone have a third party software for the dial-up internet connection on n70 please? I did a good search on internet, couldn't find one. I would be grateful even if someone provides me a web link. Cheers

I don't think you can connect to internet on n70 with dial up connection, I have contacted nokia, they have stopped doing this option, I guess they want nokia users to use the expensive GPRS connection for internet. Scums... found a way of making money!
